11/11: Husband got deported
1/11/14: Got married
1/26/15-3/17/15: NVC

5/28/15: INTERVIEW - denied

6/8/15: I-601/I-212 waivers received

11/17/15: I-601/I-212 waivers APPROVED

12/11/15: HUBBY HOME!! :dance:

If they're not confident to converse in English, ask for an interpreter. Good luck!

they weren't rejected but they weren't approved either, they want a few more things from my mother. they took her passport and they said when we receive the things we will send you back the passport with the visa.

for my father they said an unlawful presence waiver is needed. since that takes time they didn't take his passport (in case he needed it for travel purposes).

they want 3 things from my mother: her old passport she used when she left the u.s in 2005; a letter from me explaining my future plans to return to the united states; and another letter explaining why I haven't filed a federal tax return

I thought waivers are only for spousal visa (US citizen petitioning alien spouse)?
