Hi all,

I just came in with my K-1 visa last week and have submitted I-765 online (also mailed the required doc ) right after I arrived . It's been 10 days but I haven't received any notification mails or email. Does anybody know what would be the next step and how can I track the process?

There's no options there even I longin online to the website ...

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Filing the I-765 before filing for AOS under category (a )(6 ) is really a waste of money. The EAD takes about 60-90 days to receive, though maybe slightly faster if you file online. I do not know about that. It will expire when your I-94 does, and is not renewable. Even if you find work in that short amount of time, you will have to stop when the EAD expires.

It is much better to file the I-765 along with your I-485. The fee is waived and under category (c )(9 ) - adjustment applicant, the EAD is valid for a year and is renewable should the wait for your green card take that long.
