Medical check in Beijing for foreigners

Hi everybody,

I decided to share my experience how I did health check in the third country, - China.

I decided to do it now, not waiting the interview result, because who knows what will happen after this, I'm too nervous to think about it now.

Anyways, here is my story.

I'm Russian, but for past several years I've been living here in China, here I met my fiancé and we decided that I'll have my interview also here in the country where we met, still not sure where it was a good idea or not.

While I was searching for information about foreigners who faced the same process and difficulties, I barely could find any information.

So I hope some of you will find this post useful, nevertheless it's related to China and medical check there.

First of all in all the China there are only four medical centers where you can do the medical check that will be accepted by the Consulate, and their addresses are already included in the check list for K1 visa.

Beijing International Travel Healthcare Center: 25th floor, Jin Ao International Building, No.17 Ma Dian East Road, Haidian District, Beijing

地址:北京市海淀区马甸东路17号金澳国际大厦25

Tel: (010) 64274240 / 58648801

The first tel number is a customer line and it's bilingual, the second tel number I tried to call several times but there was no answer.

After you called (010) 64274240 and choose for English you will be instructed to go on the ???? website and make an appointment. It took me a while to make out the name of the website http://www.bjciq.gov.cn/

Here on the right side you’ll see this sign

click on it and you’ll be send to the page where you can make your medical appointment.

Part two. In the medical center

it works 08:00 – 10:30 (and there are small changes in case if you do it with kids and babies)

Be ready nobody speaks English. I had my vaccination certificate from Russia, all translated into English. I hadn’t expected but, that was a problem, they said they need time to translate the names of the vaccinations in Chinese. Lucky me I have already did it, so it saved time for both of us. But it was a problem for another couple from Russia that I met that day.

The day I picked my medical report I left the proper vaccination translation “Chinese-English-Russian”. Happy staff of medical center can save time now.

According to the appointment notice you’ll get, after you set up the time, your medical report will be ready in 5 working days.

In Shanghai the report is ready within 4 day thou.

Hey Harold,

I am working in Beijing as well and I am not a Chinese citizen. My interview will be in Guangzhou as well.

Where are you in your process now? And is your fiance in Beijing?

I am trying to collect information for now since I haven't found much information for a foreigner here.

We are waiting on the NOA1. The package was received yesterday.

She is currently in Hangzhou near Shanghai. Here visa expires soon so hopefully they expedite it or she gets one renewed.

Which service center are you going through? We will end up in Texas I think.
