AOS income requirement. is it just for the past year?

the past one year (only) I have enough taxable income, but not for the previous 2 years. I want to bring my fiance here from the Philippines. I think that I read that I have to show that 20k per year of income for the past 3 years, but I can not again find wherevery I read that? thanks.

USEM only requires one year of tax returns. If you filed 2014 then you will use it, if not you will use tax year 2013. As of late USEM has stopped asking for any prof of income. Here is the direct quote from the USEM Embassy letter which outlines all the documents that are required for your interview. I am quoting only the portion of the letter that talks about support.

"EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form may be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You may also be asked to submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis."

You will need to meet the income levels when applying for AOS after marriage.
