Have your wedding in Las Vegas and stream video back home to him.

Invitation letter will do no good and waste of time, Have your brother apply for a Tourist Visa, probably too late to by now to have any chance to get it in time for your wedding. Cost $160 application fee.......

Sorry, but invitation letter won't mean anything. The applicant has to apply by his/her own merit and proof of that they have strong ties to their home country.

Your brother needs to apply on his own for a tourist visa. The invitation letter is not considered and will probably not even be looked at. So if you want to write an invitation letter, just write it like you would anyways...or just send a card. It will likely be for your brother's eyes only.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Indeed, letter of invitation got no value, for they will not even care to ask for it. I didn't even prepare for a letter during my moms interview today. But luckily she got approved with only few questions that lasted 3 minutes. :)
