So...after over a month and a half. ..we just got a RFE...this is so heartbreaking and frustrating. I cant even think right now :(

Don't be upset, at least something happened! It seems at least three of us here have the same "officer", he or she might be a little strict, but... For me it's definitely better that checking my case status in every hour without any update... Let us know what your RFE is about! Good luck and keep it up!

Congrats on the NOA2 :dancing: Atleast it shows some are actually getting thru the process. Ours is still in limbo but as I was figuring would take anywhere from 3 to 6 months seeing many get there's approved is promising. :) Hope More get approved from the April Filers

Now it has already been 10 days since my fiancé filled the 129F and we still got nothing by now. Other people in the timelines filled it in May and already got an answer. I really don't know what to do now. Check is not being cashed, so we don't know if it even arrived at the lockbox. And there is nobody to call and ask

I wouldn't worry yet. I sent mine next day mail, April 22nd and they received it on the 24th, but I didn't get the NOA1 texts until the 28th, so about a week even with overnight express. Had I not sent it next day express, they most likely wouldn't have received it for another week, and then tack on probably a second week til I got an NOA1. I would expect if you sent it reg snail mail with no tracking or anything, that chances are it could take two to two and a half weeks to hear back.

The g-1145 is just for NOA1. If you want a text/email notification for NOA2, you have to go online and turn on notifications on the USCIS case checker.

As far as I know, you need to turn on notifications if you want to receive anything other than snail mail. I think you'll be fine as long as you're registered and have clicked the buttons I highlighted in this screenshot.

It just means someone was working on your case. Some people get those updates before an RFE/NOA2, others don't. My case status never changed between NOA1 and NOA2.

I wouldnt worry about that much. Like our case showed an update 3 weeks before the NOA2. so doesnt mean it is coming anytime soon. But means that it has been "wanded" thus it has been touched in some way by USCIS

I actually think i shows the day your application arrived at the Service Centers. Got my NOA1 on 05/08 and last update was 05/14. So one week shipping between the distribution Center (Lockbox) and Service Centers sounds reasonable
