I would say it's looking promising to say the least. An officer has your case for review and that's definitely a good thing. Hopefully it gets approved soon!!!

Welcome here :) Your situation is new to me, and this is the first time I came across this. In my understanding, anything you claim as INCOME should be declared (regardless if the category falls under non-taxable or something). But since I really do not know how it works with your case, I could not really give any advise but to wish you with all the best in your upcoming meeting. And please do share your experience as that's gonna help people in the same situation.. :)

Yeah I think my situation is definitely one of the more unique ones. Over the phone they said there's probably nothing to worry about, it's just that the officers look at hundreds of cases daily and the first thing they look for is a W-2. In my case none of the income I'm claiming is taxable so I had no reason to file taxes last year.

When did you call USCIS for expedite? I called them again today to follow up my request and the guy said I will receive a response in 5 days. He also added that last Friday, my service request was already assign to an officer. I also asked for another congressman's help today since the other congressman that we asked last month did not have any feedback at all. We will see but hope for a positive response in the coming days. Fingers crossed.

By the way, Is that update in the USCIS status online or just e-mail?

it was for the online status.... I called my congressman the same day I called USCIS. they sent me some forms which I completed over the Memorial holiday weekend. I called them this morning and they told me that they have sent an enquiry to USCIS, but she also said it takes up to 30days to get a response from them. inspite of that, my case status kept on changing.

like u said ''fingers crossed''

If its a RFE don/t you think I should have received an online case update indicating a RFE is on its way before looking out for it in the mail.

The case status would have changed online but the only way to be sure is to contact USCIS in regards to what that letter pertained to but didn't reach you for some odd reason?

Were you checking it daily? It may have changed to RFE on its ways, but since it was undeliverable, it changed to a different status. Call USCIS :) So you can better prepare youself for the next step..
