Sometimes people don't bother following links or reading them fully. I post them with the part not understood, that I see as what addresses the topic, in bold. I pass on knowledge and the full official source when I have time.

Many people, other than the person who asks the question, read the topics. I try to write very simply because many on VJ don't speak English well. Others may not have good reading comprehension skills. Don't take it personally as written only for you. No reason for me to be mean. I don't have a horse in this race. I have a kind heart or I wouldn't bother trying to help. I understand you have raw emotions now, but don't shoot the messenger.

Then why did you begin your list with "they've said visa about 7 times did you actually read it". That post wasn't directed towards the general population. It was directed towards the comments/questions we asked or you wouldn't have begun your post the way you did. That's my problem with your message "to everyone"

I thought perhaps you had read the ABC news link, but had missed the Dept of State link or perhaps didn't scroll down to see all of it. The copy paste was for anyone who wanders along and wants to see the visa topics (in bold) that were included in the DOS release since we are not interested in passports, CRBA, or emergency humanitarian expedites. There's a lot of times I think people miss seeing things. Only trying to clarify that to me it is clearly visa printing that is currently on hold, as well as DS-160 which some indicated they thought was the main problem. I am sorry you were offended.

And you did seem to ask me this direct question by quoting me in a post --

"Do you think they'll actually be able to

give out information at the interview? Or will be get the "we're working to fix it" line? If I read the statement on the embassy site- it sounds like anyone who hasn't aubmitted a D-160...that could be juste being hopeful too I guess"

My answer is I don't agree that those who already submitted DS-160 are okay based on what I read. And I don't think the embassy folks will discuss the nitty gritty of what the problem is. The issue is probably above their pay grade and security clearance anyway. They could get fired for discussing anything that is not the official word of their boss the State Department.

We're going to submit the readiness form today. I don't know what else we can do. The DS160 was submitted and confirmed on the 6th and the medical is Tuesday.. so I only hope that it's fine. What other steps should we take? It's not like there's a good way to communicate with the London Embassy.

I can't think of any other steps except carry on like you are. They will still give you an interview. And surely by that day (6-7 weeks after medical) they will have gone over the systems and all will be back to normal. They may even shift workers who printed visas and worked in that dispatch area to other jobs temporarily and get you to the interview sooner. That's a hopeful idea!

Yuna, I thought the same after submitting the "readiness" form. After spending the last few months filling forms, getting information, photos, police certificates, birth certificates, tax information (for I-134), waiting for NOA1's, booking medicals, getting shots sorted etc., it's a weird feeling to suddenly find that there is nothing left to do in terms of the K1 visa.

Right now all that could come up requiring you to do something would be if something came up at the medical. If that's all clear, then it's just a waiting game until you get the interview date.

Have you got your I-134 completed with supporting documentation? That's the only thing I can think of that might need to be done before the interview.

You could always double check the documents you need for the interview, and get them in order for when you will take them.

Otherwise maybe start looking into what you need to do for AOS?

Yep. He has all the documents needed already. We're going to work on AOS once he's here, as there's too much stuff going on personally for me at the moment and we need to bang our heads together in the same room on filing a packet that is more complex like this and not over the phone.

We have two dates in September that we're floating for the wedding, but I really worry now everything will be ruined if there is more delay.

We were approved today. Now to see how long it takes to get his passport back. We were told 3-4 weeks, with the statement that it could be longer so don't make any plans.

Just a quick info. Sometimes CEAC status does not reflect the real status of the visa.

Mine is still showing AP on CEAC until now. I picked up my passport more than 8 hours ago and I checked million times if my visa was still there :)

I am on IR-1. Been married for 4 years before the visa issued. Non UK citizen and it took 11 days to get the visa from the date of interview

Hope yours are issued soon!
