These people tend to have a god's line on speed dial and speak to her directly only, or the 'voices' tell them what to do... They have no use for bibles...

The bible does not ask Christian people to do anything to gays at all. Why he has decided he should do something without the bible telling him to is beyond me. Don't he know murder is a sin?

If they could give me God's number so I can at least text him, I would be honored.

I agree. Any state run by the WBC, KK, Blank Panthers or other extremist groups would be the same as a state run by radical Islamist.

However at this time those groups are a few hundred at most, So at this point I will spend my energy and concern on the group that runs many states, has 10's of millions of members world wide, and everyday is carrying out atrocious acts of violence and terror in the name of its lgion.

Yup Marvin 40 nut jobs in Kansas.universally hated and closely monitored by many organizations, is the same thing as Radical Islam and it's world wide blight on the face of the earth.

If I did face palms it would go here .

Really? Okay, let's go:

1. Show me the link that says there are 10's of millions of these "radical" followers. Between ISIS and Al Qaeda combined it's about 50,000. And that's total for all states. The US has 6.67 million Muslims, yet how many attacks have been carried out here in the last 20 years? It's funny because if we compared how great it is somewhere else that has no guns, it doesn't count or we're told to go live there. But you want to focus on things over there to justify your bigotry against Muslims. Get back to me on that.

2. Hate to break it to you, but Radical "Christianity" here is far more a threat. This country identifies itself as a Christian nation. 78.4% to be sure:

http://religions.pewforum.org/reports

That means those people who go on rampages or just kill for no reason, identify as Christians. So, just to be sure, you said you're more worried about black youth because they kill in disproportionate numbers to our population, but you're going to spend your energy watching a population of people here that make up less than 3% of killings because of what's happening somewhere else?

This country has it shares of nutjobs. People use their faith to excuse the hatred they want to project. You want to look for a blight? Not to hard to find, but you want it to look different than you, that's the issue.

For the millionth time, there's a difference in someone that happens to be Christian/Muslim/Whatever that just so happens to kill someone else for mental, anger, or other non-religious based reasons and someone that kills specifically in the name of their religion. Apples to apples only please.

so, anyone here prognosticating about the percentages of the chances of this bill being passed into law?

or even the county-by-county voting percentages, yay/nay?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

bet?

no - it's voting projections.

don't you watch election night/day news coverage, prior? it's fun !

another thought - omg - what if, indeed, this bill passes into law?

then it becomes a land-grab !

gun-toting non-sodomizers killing the sodomizers.

Still, can't the lesbians and bi-sexual womens be left alone, not shot with a bullet? I ask this, as there is no physical buggery-ing going on there.

Since Matt is using religion and citing a god in his law, we're on point by putting him in the same bag with other religious nutjobs who advocate or commit murder based solely on superstition.

Really?

Then tell me. Why aren't the abortion bombers called radical "Christians"? Because those horrible acts were committed in the name of Jesus Christ. Would you call them Christians? The KKK quotes the bible as its source material, and calls itself a Christian organization. Would you call them Christians? Almost any extremists group uses Christianity as it's mission statement and why it's their God given right to hate other groups of people. Yet, when they kill, what do we call them? Crazy people. Even when they WBC screams bible verses, they're not called a Christian group. Why not? They're doing these things in the name Christianity, so why aren't they called Christians?

I'll tell you why. Because you and NB are holding two different standards when it comes to Christ and Islam. You're saying a Christian would never do such hurtful things, but a Muslim would.

Spot on.

These Christians who cite scripture to justify their hatred and bigotry and who act in the name of god are no different than any other religious fundamentalists. The problem you have with that line of thought is that it defies the head-in-the-sand paradigm of those who believe that Christianity is all about love, inclusion and forgiveness.

That's why it's easy to paint Muslims as these killers. Christians get their title stripped the second they step out of pocket. Even quoting scripture in their defense, people will dismiss them as crazy and keep it moving. A Muslim, on the other hand, gets stuck with the title the second it becomes public knowledge they have any ties to Islam.

+100.

It's like saying when you do it, it's because of the Quran. When they do it, they're crazy. Love the double standard.
