Sounds good to me!!! We can also tag fox news and others. FOX always love stories like this.

The biggest thing is like you said..we need to get everyone on board. Also, I agree your idea of a generic mass post with @: potus, dhs heads, USCIS heads, political members would be awesome. We can also come up with a hashtag to trend on social media.

Maybe as a more personal approach we could add the time since NOA1 to show how long this takes. Just an idea.

I am new to forums but maybe we can get a major thread going here with a date and time, generic post and instructions on what to upload to social media.

Hopefully the negative attention can help fix a problem and prevent this issue for future filers.

I'd be wary with FOX News. They're highly biased against immigrants, and I'm not sure adding them to the mix would be helpful. It might be, but I have serious reservations. Great idea about the personal approach. Definitely an important aspect.

I'll play around with possible starting tags and then try to start a thread later today. I'll post the link when I do.

Update: I've gotten in touch with a non-profit organizer for LGBT equality in North Carolina who hosts a lot of Twitter-based social justice campaigns. She's offered to talk with me over the phone next week to figure give some tips for how to make this successful. So before I start the thread, I'm going to talk with her so we can make this as high-impact as possible.

I'm on twitter. I've followed their page already but we will be waiting on updates about how we could all possibly call their attention to speed up the processing, hopefully. :)

Just keep the faith guys and stay in love!

Sounds good guys!! Please keep us up to date. Sorry for the delay in writing I am in Berlin with my fiancee and will be back in the US on Sunday.

Tired of saying goodbye :( . I can't wait for this process to be done.

Have you guys seen Igors list here? Looks like TSC could be working approvals for January 2015 filers now. Hopefully they are speeding up because of workload distribution.

I'm so glad you're able to spend time with your fiance. This week I was able to buy my own tickets to see my fiance next, and I hadn't realized how much stress I felt not knowing precisely when I'd see him again. Hopefully the wait for you two to be together will go by swiftly.

In any case, I happened to see your post shortly before writing a new poem, and I felt particular inspired by the phrasing "tired of saying goodbye." I'm not sure if you enjoy poetry, but you can find the one I wrote here.

I'm not convinced. When I saw the 2015 filers and looked, most of them were from the Phillipines and from what I've gathered reading the forum, these petitions are automatically expedited. Either way, even if they are moving onto the newer petitions, it doesn't seem to be because they've finished the old ones--they're just making some people wait longer so others don't have to wait as long. This hardly seems fair to me, and it hardly seems like an actual solution.

Maybe I'm just being cynical, but the waiting is wearing me down, being powerless to affect it, so maybe I just can't see the good news.

I've been trying to not get too optimistic but it definitely seems to be speeding up. All the data is pointing towards that. Yes there are a few unlucky people who are still left from like September but it seems to be the volume of applications in those months has caused that. It definitely isnt fair though like you say.

I am from the Philippines. And honestly we were hoping we'd get expedited unfortunately, not. I don't think the expediting thing still goes on. So, let's just all be positive. I've checked the Igor's list and they've started approving a few from January to May filers.

I noticed that alot of files are sent to USDOS. Does anyone know what this is and what goes on with the files there?

If I'm not mistaken, that's the State Department, which handles U.S. foreign affairs, including visas and immigration. The USCIS is actually part of the Department of Homeland Security, which is still relatively young, probably because (in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, which catalyzed its creation) visa applications now must be screened for potential terror threats, even though the actual visa issuance part of the process is administered elsewhere. In any case, after going through the USCIS, applications are sent to the National Visa Center, part of the Bureua of Consular Affairs, which is part of the State Department; here the application is sent to individual embassies or consulates in the beneficiary's home country for the visa interview. So, in a manner of speaking, it's good to see files sent to DOS.

(I hold a degree in political science with a concentration on U.S. government, and I recently took a course in foreign policy.)

thank you so much, so many of these are moving to the State Dept. for further screening and their well waited for approval. Well thats a good thing hopefully and prayerfully ours will begin to see some movement also. thanks again and best of luck to you and your fiance so that we can be with our loved ones soon.

After the update yesterday now almost all of the other visa types are in normal processing times at TSC, this is good news for the K1 visas I think. When I first applied almost 50% of the other types were also overdue!

I just checked my case status on USCIS and it finally gives information about it after you click your case number. Maybe TSC is turning around. Let's hope and pray!

Hi All

Yes indeed the case status is showing up now.. However, i don't know why under the heading Next Steps it says "We will review your request for a data change. If needed, we will make the change. "

Furthermore, the USCIS Processing Time Information for Texas shows that it was updated on June 9th but shows the statistics as of March 31st 2015 and shrubbier says they are still working on September applicants.

Any thought fellow journey men and women??

Kind regards,

ConiMoni
