My fiance's k1 visa was approved at the time of his interview. Now when checking status from the CEAC site his Visa is in Administrative Processing which can take several weeks? Has anyone else got this after being approved?

Everyone gets it. Sometimes it changes after a few hours to issued.

Mostly it changes after a couple of days.

It's very rare to take weeks to years.

AP is a normal part of the visa issuance process. After your interview, your status automatically goes into AP for finalization. Everyone's visa process works this way. Sometimes many don't notice because the status changes so quickly after the interview. In other cases, mine included, there is a short wait. My wife's visa status was on AP for 3 days before her visa finally went to issued.

NOA1: 04/08/2014; NOA2: 04/21/2014; Visa interview, approved: 07/15/2014; POE: 07/25/2014; Marriage: 09/05/2014

NOA1:  09/12/2014;  Biometrics:  10/06/2014;  EAD/AP Received:  11/26/2014;  Interview Waiver Letter:  01/02/2015;  

RFE:  07/09/2015;  Permanent Residency Granted:  07/27/2015;  Green card Received:  08/22/2015

Just keep checking the status, when the creation date changes to a date recently that mean they are ready to issue the visa.

Ap can take dsys,weeks,months or year.

You can go to the waiver and administrative processing forum , you can have an idea .

It happens, especially for certain Embassies / countries. All you can do it wait some more.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

dont frak out, it happens always after an aprroved interview, usually it takes 2 days, me for example i just got my visa today after 2 business days from my interview date, did they tell your fiance to come back to pick up his passport? and when?
