ABC, CBS, NBC choose not to air ad from bipartisan group of senators

Major networks declined to run an ad on their Sunday morning news shows from a bipartisan group of former senators warning of the seriousness of an Iranian nuclear bomb.

The ad comes from a new group called the American Security Initiative (ASI), which is led by former Sens. Saxby Chambliss (R, Ga.), Evan Bayh (D, Ind.), and Norm Coleman (R., Minn.).

I noticed FOX wasn't on the list of networks that declined to run this ad. I'm sure they'll be there to pick up the slack.

I agree there is concern.

Do you not think that instead of making a TV add, congress could handle this better by collectively removing their heads from the far reaches of their backsides and start doing their jobs? Or at this point, have they forgotten what they were elected to do?

Boehner and McConnell should man up and be honest with us, and go on record to say we should just nuke all these pesky countries we don't like. That would be more honest and to the point than their childish tactics of sabotage and disinformation they are unleashing on the American people.

The shortsightedness of the add is that it presumes a nuclear device be brought from Iran into the US successfully, which only shines a sorry light on the attempts and efforts of this sorry Congress to stop funding to DHS. In essence, they create the conditions for a possible attack on American soil and demand that we blame another country entirely for it. IMHO the George Orwell estate should sue them for plagiarism for 1984ing the American people.

It's no secret they want the country to fail so they can blame it on the administration. It's been their endgame all along.
