Visa on hand today. On my Immigrant Data Summary, Alias section my name is missing a letter E for Anne they spelled it only Ann. I was trying to call the US Embassy but no luck on getting in touch with them :( I'll try to contact them tomorrow. All of my information on my visa are correct. Do they need to correct this? My flight is next week.

You can tell CBS officer once you arrive at port of entry in USA. Even though you contact embassy they will first ask you that if everything okay with visa and they finally will tell you that they shown your inform to you at the time of interview and you have confirmed it ( that is not true). In short they dont want to repair anything on immigration data summary. In my case they have printed my wife's old address which is phoenix and now she is houston. I caller number of places but the only thing I came to know is that you can fix everything at POE nobody will listen you unless if there is any mistake on visa. So dont worry . Congrats for your visa

I read where others (Germany US Embassy) have been asked to return and others not. I recommend that you email ASAP to determine what USEM wants you to do. Here are the details if you don't have the contact information:

In order to serve our visa applicants more efficiently, we have created this new e-mail IVMNLAppointments@state.gov , for early appointment requests and visa scheduling issues. Please note, however, that early appointment requests will be approved on a case to case basis (i.e., aging out cases, or in cases involving personal or medical emergencies), and only if visa interview slots are available.

For other immigrant and K visa concerns, please send an e-mail to IVManilaReplies@state.gov

To enable us to electronically sort the messages and provide better, more timely responses, you should follow the instructions below.

The subject line of your email should indicate the visa applicant’s last name, first and middle name (ex. DOE, John James), case number/USCIS receipt number, visa category and priority date.

Messages should be limited to 500 characters or less. The mail size should not be more than 15 KB. Do not submit documentation or attachments with your message as our system is unable to receive inquiries with attachments. Do not send your inquiry more than once as duplicate inquiries will congest our system and delay our response time.

That should be easy to correct through a phone call.

You might want to write to the USEM using the Feedback link where we schedule our appointments. They responded to us a few times there, but never from the IV email address. Those emails might get deleted or unaccepted at random.

You should be fine. Don't worry about it.

My husband's IDS has an error too for his petitioner's name. We called the embassy and they said typo errors happen. No need to correct it as long as all info in the visa itself is correct.

As long as the info on the visa is correct I tend to lean towards the embassy (POE) not being to concerned about a typo on the data sheet.

Hi we have the same dilemma. They also mispelled my "Anne" on the alias part of my IDS. may I know what did you? Did you return the whole packet or you just had it corrected at POE? Thank you

My younger brother also has an alias (my name on his alias)on his IDS also. We just noticed it a night before our flight to San Francisco. During POE, immigration officer didn't ask about the alias for my younger brother.
