Good Morning Everyone :-)

First of all, I'd like to thank all from this post. Your input has guided me a lot on my K1 application. I am here again to ask for your help.

I received my NO2 hard copy (May 15, 2015) and it says that I will receive notification by mail that will have a unique number for my case. It says to give it 30 days before contacting NVC. My question is: " Why do I need to call NVC if they will mail me a notification anyway? My second question is; Once I get my case number, what do I do?

I have all the documents ( as per visajourney guide) ready but haven't sent it to my fiancé as i am waiting for this NOTIFICATION that has my case number and then once I get it, ill send it all together.

Thank to all again :-)

Ohmymy,

Hello, you have to call NVC to get your case number, it took me almost a month before I got a letter from them stating my case number. I got my NOA2 hard copy last 4/10/2015 and the letter from NVC last 5/8/2015. I called them on 4/29/2015 then they gave me my case no. You can use this number to check the status of your papers if it is in TRANSIT or READY. Transit meaning it is already on its way from NVC to US Embassy in the Philippines for example. Ready means it is already at the Embassy. I'd say call them after a week from the time you got your NOA2 at this number: (603)334-0700. Call them early in the morning so you will be first in line. Imagine if you will wait the letter from them, it will take you a month before you can get it. Once you have the number then you can track the status of your papers from this site: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx. Also don't wait to get your case number to take action, gather all the necessary I-134 documents that you will send to your fiancée. Here is the link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide. Also have your fiancée get all the necessary documents like NBI clearance, police clearance if your fiancée worked abroad after 16 yrs of age and over 6 months, CENOMAR, birth certificates, photo ID's, and etc. There you go !!!! Good luck to you!!!

Mine isn't even showing any information. Is there a way to track via dhl service?

I need to find out about the DHL tracking way too. I know some of our fellows here used it, but seems like they had to modify it from the way the other thread described it. Can anyone please explain to us? (We have a lot of pages on our thread to go back over and look!)

We FINALLY got a response from the Kabul embassy. That was the good news. The bad news? The said that they received the 'electronic file' from NVC, but are waiting for the physical file from NVC before scheduling our interview... Really? So why was my "In Transit" status all about? Why wouldn't it just switch to "Ready"???

I want to see if I can look up the DHL delivery before I call NVC and ask them about the shipment of my physical file. With the way mail is delivered on airplanes nowadays, the file should not have taken two months!

Please help me and SabrinaChuck! Thank you in advance!
