Hi guys I got my green card in the mail today !!! I got it on 8th day after my interview ! I'm enlisting the military and hope to become a U.S. Citizen there ! Thanks and good luck !!!

Congratulations. When I check USCIS online, I get this message:

On September 22, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number xxx. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by November 21, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

Did others who got approved in their interview get the same message? We did not receive an email like others have said, and I do not understand why we need to go through ADIT processing which I understand is more fingerprinting and another round of photos. We already did the Biometrics - in fact, Joaquin has submitted 3 sets of fingerprints and photos already. So now, they need a 4th set???

Anyone know why we got this message?

Yep, that's exactly how my case status updated when they mailed the Welcome Notice. We were "recommended for approval" at the interview and case status updated to approved two weeks later.

We did not receive an email like others have said, and I do not understand why we need to go through ADIT processing which I understand is more fingerprinting and another round of photos. We already did the Biometrics - in fact, Joaquin has submitted 3 sets of fingerprints and photos already. So now, they need a 4th set???

It's just the standard wording they use for all approvals, regardless of whether ADIT processing is required. Your Welcome Notice should arrive within about a week and won't include any mention of ADIT processing. My GC was mailed the day I received the Welcome Notice and arrived in the mail two days later. Congrats, it's almost over!

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

Wow, that is a relief to read your reply. Thanks for the information and hopefully we will get the green card in a couple of weeks. I will really celebrate when we get the card in the mail.

@tossy-you can take your online update or email notification with you. You will just have to explain yourself to the Officer.- my friend used her phone and showed the officer the online update.

Thanks. I spoke with a tier 2 officer and he simply asked for a fax no. He faxed few hours later.

I had my interview today at the Baltimore, MD office. The officer approved us on spot. He said, usually he does not reveal his decision, but he decided to let us know immediately because he had enough information. I am so glad this process has finally has come to an end. It has been a long journey for me. Thanks VJ friends....I would have gone crazy without you. It has been a pleasure going through this journey with you!

Congrats. Please what were the questions asked and was the officer friendly or just neutral? I have mine there on monday.

Initially the office seemed so neutral. But at the end of the interview he smiled and informed us that over the weekend he had gone through our file and the evidence he saw was good enough for him to approve us. He did not separate us but asked each of us to explain at what time in our relationship did we decide to get marriage. Describe your first date. Describe your wedding? Do you have any kids or do you plan? What's your spouse date of birth? What city was your spouse born? Where does your spouse work/occupation? Current address. Overall, there is nothing to prepare if your marriage is real and you now each other. The interview was so relaxed. Bring a lot of the evidence for your relationship. Good lyck

everyone? No, I've not even got an interview date so just think yourself lucky and not so much worrying about it.

Is there anyone in Texas still waiting for an interview date? All contact I've had with USCIS has been turned away with "your case is still within the time frame" Texas according to the USCIS site is still working on applications from 20th Feb 2015.
