8-10 years ago, talking to older friends that went through this, IT was not the case, a K-1 was a 3-4 month process, total!

So, what has changed?

Has, who is running the govt., and God only knows what "he" will give away tomorrow, got anything to do with it?

It is the most important thing to change!

Want 8 more years of this.,.,.then just follow the past 8!

The process has evolved, and we are probably stuck with what we have. We have to make the best of it.

I do not care which party was in control, either one, but radical change has come, and the USA taxpayers, and visa applicants are paying

the price for it, no matter what political party was running the country.

We know the rules, we now.,..,. just must play by them, it is their game!

Where is the logic from the "powers that be", when we have so many illegals in my country that the government caters to? This is absolutely unbelievable!

If you think the life of an undocumented immigrant is cooler than yours, have the beneficiary sneak into the country as well. Really; try it. Experience limbo for yourself... for years without end.

Then come back here and testify.

The preferred term now is prospective citizen.

In my post, I was not complaining about illegals, I was complaining about the bureaucracy that brings all this, as I see it, unnecessary work for me and for themselves. Although, when people do things the wrong/illegal way, it does make things more difficult for the people that try to do things the right/legal way. Read into that what you wish. I agree it is necessary to protect this country (US) as best as possible from the various forms of deceit which can be used to enter into this country. But I don't understand all the necessity of some of these procedures & requirements when you have legitimately proven who you are and what you are about. We're talkin' about one little ol' girl from Russian being reunited with her husband. Yeah, I know, suck it up,.... but it's so annoying.

My wife has very good English, and continues to learn. She will not have to have government documents given to her in her language so she can function in the American society. Meaning she will not be a burden to this country. Read into that what you wish. We have been married for approximately 6 years.

Did she have a green card, gave it up, and she is reapplying for one?

You still haven't told us what procedures you've been through.
