AOS Fees Paid, IV Fees Not Available, Next Steps?

Hi All,

We have already submitted the DS-261 online and have paid the respective fees. The status is now Paid. We see a Pay Now hyperlink next to IV fees but when we click on it, it takes us to a different page where it shows us the amount we paid for AOS and its status but the IV fees are at $0.00 and greyed out.

Do we need to contact NVC regarding this?

I've read on the forums that we need to mail/submit the AOS and IV package together to NVC and I've also read on some threads that the AOS documents need to be sent to NVC before we can get the IV invoice and the DS-260.

Could someone please advise what we need to do at this stage?

After you submit the DS-261 it usually take 30 days to unlock the IV fee if you are lucky you can call the NVC and some nice rep will unlock it for you. You can send both the AOS and IV package before you pay the IV fee. Sending the package as nothing to do with the IV fee being unlock.

You need to wait a few weeks to pay the IV fee. I would start getting everything together so you can mail the packets together in the meantime.

You can mail your AOS and IV packets together in one big envelope using the AOS barcode sheet. I have seen others here that have done this while waiting for the IV fee to be unlocked. It may save some waiting time because your docs will be at NVC by the time you pay the IV fee and your DS-260 is unlocked. Good luck in your journey! :)

Hi All

So in reading this thread am I to understand that the DS 260 only becomes "unlocked" after the IV payment is paid (after its unlocked as well)?

I have paid the AOS 6 weeks ago. My husband (the US citizen) sent the AOS package and the IV package a week ago. The IV payment is still at "0" and can't be paid. I can not see the DS 260 anywhere. I have read the threads but some of them are old now and things have changed or they seem to contradict. Any help appreciated as it has been six weeks since AOS was paid.

Like pp said, call NVC and once you get a nice rep, you can get them to review agent form, and that will unlock IV. It has definetly been long enough
