Guys, just a heads-up. I decided to get in touch with the NVC yesterday as I hadn't received the IV fee bill yet. A nice rep. told me that I was going to get an email with the invoice as soon as the DS-261 had been reviewed, which might take up to 42 (!!!) business days. Nevertheless, the guys was a really nice one and asked me whether we had submitted our AOS and civil documents yet. I said no and was encouraged to do so, as according to him the IV Fee along with DS-260 and AOS and civil documents review are two independent processes, and documents can be submitted to the NVC for review as soon as the AOS fee has shown PAID. I specifically asked if he was sure and I could submit my document without first paying the IV fee, and he said yes.

Thus, following his instructions, we're going to send off our package today.

Viad 77 is correct. You can sent in the AOS and the IV Packets together, before you pay the IV fees and fill out the 260 forms, When your AOS fees show paid, you can print Document cover sheet from the AOS payment portal, the address will be on the cover sheet to send documents to. You will need 2 of the AOS cover sheet. one for each packet. You can use the AOS cover sheet with the IV packet too. You will also need to include the NVC checklist document letter. Mail both packets separated but in same envelope.

It takes 60 days or more once NVC receives package to review documents, that is why it is recommended to do it this way, as the reviewing will have already started, while you are waiting for your IV fees to be invoice. If you wait until after the fee is invoice, to send documents in you are adding at least a month extra of waiting time.

yes that will be ok.Also when sending in tax transcripts w-2 forms are not needed. If you are sending copies of your tax returns then you would need copies of your w-2 forms
