Yeah, I get it...it's not ISIS or anything, but it still sucks!

Via Reuters:

A female delivery driver for Domino's Pozza was kidnapped at gunpoint in Northern California and sexually assaulted by a teenager, apparently after he ordered the pizza, police said on Tuesday.

Good on Domino's for standing up and offering help to the victim.

Would YOUR employer do the same for you?

There's been so many stories like this where people target pizza delivery drivers. It seriously has to be pretty high up there on the dangerous occupations list.

Does Cali allow their citizens to carry firearms in there cars without permits or CHL?

You can carry firearms, unloaded, when transporting to and from a gun range, or hunting area, or say a gun shop. There is an exemption in California for people that believe their lives are in danger, although that is a rather high bar to get over as a defense. Law enforcement are likely to confiscate any weapons they discover, and it is up to you prove those are indeed your weapons. From such encounters related to me by my friends and acquaintances, they are none too gentle when handling the weapons while in custody, and reluctant to release the weapons, even with proof of ownership.

On the other hand, many of the Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police will issue a permit for those than can demonstrate a necessity to carry a firearm, although YMMV.

most won't issue at the moment. They are awaiting finalization of peruta. Trunk guns that are unloaded are legal.
