Hi everyone so our itnerview is early next week, we are married since august so we don't have a lot of docs as of right now, but here is what we have:

- Lease agreement with both names on it

- receipts of rent paid for every month, some with my name, other's with my husband's

-joint savings and checking account

-proof of approval for joint credit card from bank of america

-proof of purchases sent to same address, shipping labels with both names to same address

-a lot of pictures with friends/family/us

-joint gym membership

-showing me spouse as prior emergency contact at my husband's job and also his paychecks saying ''married''

Is it enough? Should we try to get something else?

I also have my itinerary with date to come back to my country and proof that I was still a student in law college in my country and paying every month also still was paying for healthy insurance in my country when I was here, when I came here in my vacations, just in case they ask why I got married in my tourist visa, which happened cause it was my first visit to my at the time boyfriend and his family in his country and he proposed to me

Thanks for any help :)

Try to file tax if you can, otherwise you would be fine. New family takes time to build up so IO will understand, good luck.

As more evidence, consider crafting wills, medical powers of attorney, and similar documents. These are even more valuable to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Agree.

I am surprised that no one here (that I have seen) has listed these as part of their AOS packet.

Giving someone control over ending your life should carry a lot more weight than sharing a utility bill.

Having wills and powers of attorney at the AOS stage is not usually an attainable goal. Most folks are hardly married a couple months before filing for AOS. Wills and powers of attorney would be much more feasible for ROC.

Hey everybody thanks a lot !

Well, as for health insurance, me and my husband are waiting for the open enrollment at his job, which will only be in march (he got his job only in august when we moved together to LA)

As for attorney power and health life insurance, he is only 29 and I am only 20, so we think we are too young for this yet and also I heard AOS gets suspicious if you have life insurance but not health insurance, they think you gonna kill your spouse or vice versa LOL

When starting a new job, or when getting married, your husband should not have to wait for open enrollment. A new job and a marriage qualifies as life changing events and he should be able to either start or change his health insurance plan immediately. Your husband should talk to whoever is in charge of the company health insurance.

Please disregard this post. Information is incorrect, starting a new job does not make one immediately eligible for the company health plan.

interesting, I'm gonna have him do that, but our interview is already tomorrow so we gonna have to go with what we have for documents

I just got an interview appointment notice from his same company asking me to go for a job interview next saturday

Question tho, they gonna need my employment authorization card, after the interview, will I be able to keep it or they get it back? if they get it back and give me the green card stamp... will that be enough to prove my eligibility to work?

Thanks :)
