You don't need copies of originals. The embassy take the original from you & do the copying. Take them for peace of mind, I did too, but they weren't needed!

Pretty much everyone in 2015 reported London did not want photocopies anymore. Do make sure you get originals handed back by the interviewer. I had a PM this week from somebody asking me if his original divorce decree and birth certificate come back in the mail. No, the procedure is to be given those back before you leave. The interviewer forgot.

Lesson-- keep your wits about you and don't rush out the door. Check to make sure your original personal documents like those are handed back. Think if there are any questions you have. It's better to get answers before you exit than ask Visa Journey later. Example is when somebody is given a blue sheet because something was lacking. So they go home and ask VJ...What do I send? How do I send it? NO, ask while you are inside the embassy. Go sit back in the lobby and check your papers if you need to calm yourself and think.

They must be translated and "certified" by the translator....meaning a signed statement where the translator says they are fluent in both languages and certify that the translation is accurate. It does not have to be a paid professional service.

Every word on the document must be translated.

Just got woken up a 5:30am this morning by my fiance. She got her interview letter for this Wednesday the 27th at 8am!

Can't sleep now. Unfortunately she is very sick with a bad cold so I hope she is better in a couple of days.

She has a cousin who lives in London so she is going to stay with her Tuesday night so she can make the interview the next morning.

Hoping everybody else here gets some good news soon!

Your fiancé didn't get her letter until just a few days before the actual appointment? That's a little worrying... We are hoping to get it a good amount of time in advanced so that bus/train/hotel prices are still reasonable, but I guess there is a strong possibility of that not happening!
