Picked up my passport and the visa packet today!

Interview was on Monday, so can't complain one bit about the London Embassy's efficiency.

Am so happy!

Just have to pay the last CR1 fee and then I will be all set. Shipping is due to be collected on the 15th, and I am looking at flights for about the 25th. So excited to finally get home to my hubby!

Excellent news for your weekend :) :) Congratulations!

Hello all :) quick ds-160 question. Ds-160 completed and sent off, interview date obtained. Mistake noticed on ds-160 form. Mistake: missed some countries visited in the last five years

Where they outside the Schengen area? Did you live more then 6 months ?

Would anyone mind taking a look at my DS-3025 please, as I'm a little concerned about it. Is it OK for AOS?

My worry is that I have had chickenpox, and told the doctor that during my medical, but I have been given a D waiver instead of the Varicella history box being checked. In fact, none of the boxes have been checked, just the relevant date or waiver code written in.

To add to my confusion, on the second page I was given on the day, it states in the remarks section that all vaccination requirements have been met.

So, I'm scratching my head a little here!

Thanks!

Hi

I to have had chickenpox and informed doctors, also that my daughter had chickenpox when 4 years but still i got no tick. the Td, MMR were ticked on mine the rest weren't.

They did tick all my daughters.

Both had statements on back saying vaccinations requirements met, so Im assuming this is what maters.

maybe it depends on who fills in paperwork as i had different doctors nurses- as medicals done on different days for self and daughter and like you we had any necessary jags to make sure we were covered for AOS.

If im wrong some one will tell us, but think were both good with the forms

It may or may not pass for AOS depending on your adjudicator. There are so many across the country and they do some oddly different things. It works fine like that for CR1 spouse visas because they must be finished by interview so get a waiver because UK does not do varicella shots. However as a K1, you have opportunity to get a varicella jab in the US prior to AOS and that waiver doesn't do you much good. You needed your chickenpox documented really. But on the chance it might work, just carry on until somebody tells you that you are lacking a varicella jab. I don't know if Knightsbridge can fix it and give you another in a sealed envelope or not. One time when I talked to them, they said once they send to the embassy, all records are gone from their premises. But seems like others have gotten things later. A sealed envelope that is never opened means you did not have the opportunity to alter it yourself.

Thanks for both replies. I'll do as suggested, just carry on as if everything is fine and see what happens. It's frustrating though! I'll start to research civil surgeons in NYC just in case too! Thanks again.

Some people have everything perfect on their DS-3025 and still get RFEs and told to see a civil surgeon. It will depend on the adjudicator and his knowledge of their rules. Fairly recently Wooderz had her Congressional aide liaison question it for her and it went from RFE to approved in a day. Hard to predict.

It's very nice! I like the addition to the passport haha

I was looking through my DS-3025 and while I have a little sticker on mine saying all of my vaccinations are in order, it says expires 30th september?? I thought the medical was good for 6 months! End of September doesn't make any sense considering that wouldn't even make it valid three months?

Where on your form is this date written? I can't see a 'valid until' date on my form, just the two dates on which it was signed by the doctor.

You should ring up Knightsbridge and ask them that question. They are the ones who gave the date.

Mine doesn't have an expiry date. In regards to to the chickepox- i shall wait and see what happens- though its annoying when i did the medical in 2014 i had chickenpox history ticked- but now in 2016 i get D against it.

Considering my daughter has medical history of having chickenpox- the nurse then said that gave me the all clear on it as shes my child and i nursed her through it.

maybe i will be lucky and theyll be nice as daughter had it, and agree i will be covered

time will tell

thanks

I'm just assuming there is a good chance we may be asked to redo the medical, seems like it happens a lot...a friend got an RFE requesting a new medical because hers was "expired," even though it was 4 months old. She had a new one, got approved. Checked my husband's, on page 2 it has the date of the exam written in pen next to the sticker...does yours actually say "expires"?

I totally misread, it says expiration: 09/30/2017 - next year! That's a relief haha
