Hello All!

So we are in the process of filling out the paperwork for the AOS and EAD. My (now) husband (!!) came into the states through Dublin - so Dublin was his POE - does he put Dublin for Place of Last Entry into the U.S.? Or would he put the city that he landed in first in the states?

Out of curiosity for the recent people to receive their passport back, how long from 'issued' to the email from courier was it for you?

Hi Tricked, did you get the email yet? In case you didn't, the timing for me was interview on Friday 13th May, issued on Monday 16th May, email from courier Wednesday 18th May, picked up passport etc from depot Thursday 19th May.

FYI- I tidied up my thread '"Interview date to visa in hand". The last four put their delivery date and it is supposed to be your interview date listed. Removed some remarks because it's not for reasons why...just basic concise facts of when was your interview and how many days later did you have your visa.

And hey all--long time. It's been crazy busy. James and I got married on the 28th and I went straight into study mode afterwards. Been getting the AOS application together and will be sending it out next week if all goes well. Gearing up for the next 'long' phase but at least the good news is that there's no more traveling back and forth anymore.

Thanks, but its good since i was planning to leave early july I'm leaving on the 13th so right around when we had planned for. I may have got an rfe but ill still be there in july

On another note my ceac changed to issued this morning.

My husband received his welcome letter today along with an e-notice saying his green card has been mailed. It both feels so weird to us to finally be done dealing with the government for a while at least.

Does anyone know if he should go get the DHS authorization off of his SSN now, or should he wait until he has his 10yr card?

I would suggest a trip to the SSA office at some point (not the day you get the greencard) so they have his status as permanent resident on record. It actually says that on their website some obscure place...Update your immigrant status They will issue a new card without the writing. He is a full permanent resident now, he just has a shorter term card. Go update them again if he becomes a USC. Nothing after removing conditions. They issued my husband a new card each time because each status change had a different name and they said the card and SSA records had to match USCIS name which changed--

Greencard: First Initial Last

Citizenship: First Middle Last

Thanks Nich-Nick! He's an anomaly in that he hasn't got a middle name to worry about But that's good to know, and we'll go into the SSA in a couple weeks then. We'll also have to go into the DMV to upgrade his license (current one is only good for a year).
