It really bothers me how sometimes people on this website don't even try to google stuff. The closest US embassy to Pakistan is in India.

What do you mean the closest US embassy to Pakistan is in India. There's a US Embassy in Islamabad - which is in Pakistan. Maybe you could have googled that.

I woudnt even bother with going through all the hassle, the CO will assume the beneficiary will just stay in the U.S. Pakistanis have a bad reputation, no visa is given that easily, especially young muslim males.

I know it is almost impossible for him to get a US visa, that is why I was hoping to get input from someone who has successfully gotten a visit visa from Pakistan . At this point my hopes that we can attend this wedding together are waning.

What do you mean the closest US embassy to Pakistan is in India. There's a US Embassy in Islamabad - which is in Pakistan. Maybe you could have googled that.

if u wanna must meet with your husband decide to go dubia or malaysia or singapore ,,

there is no way for mexico visa for pakistain ,,

don,t worry its will approve your case ,, time is passing very quick

We have already gone to Dubai together. The issue is not me going to Pakistan (We were married there) it is that I have a relative having a wedding in mexico and we would like to be able to attend together.

And no time will not pass fast enough for what I need in this case.

So once again, if anyone has had success getting a B1/B2 visa from Pakistan I would appreciate any tips!

I understand what you are trying to do, but I think the reason no one has any tips is that it's almost impossible for the average single man or woman from Pakistan to get a visitor visa to the US - especially with an immigrant visa pending.

But unless money is very tight there is no harm applying. All you lose is the application fee. All you can do is really honest about why he wants the visa and stress he understand the need to return to complete the immigration process.

Every now and then it seems someone defeats all the odds and is successful.

Is plan B an option? Applying for the Mexican visa via the consulate in Iran? That sounds like a lot of time, effort and expense for one family wedding trip.

I wondered whether a better ploy would be to seek a B2 due a transit need but the flight I looked at went through Canada.

It is not really an option. In order for him to go to Iran to apply or a visa, he would of course need to apply for and be approved for a visa to Iran. Also, it would really be quite expensive to have to go there. My husband is a government employee and needs to get an NOC in order to be able to leave the country, and there is no possibility he would be granted ex leave in order to both go apply for a visa (who knows how long he would even need to stay in order to get the Mexican visa) and then again in order to go to a wedding in Mexico.

Sad but it is seeming very unlikely we will be able to go to the wedding, as I am not going unless he can go with me.

He would have flown Ethiad, Islamabad to Abu Dhabi to JFK to Cancun.

I am a Philippine passport with combo card - i512 ID, we are planning to visit Mexico.. Do I need to apply for Mexico visa or the combo card works fine?

Reading through some posts.. I think it's easier for some to be idiotic with their comments and not be useful; drill down to details. Google isn't always a know-all end-all kinda thing ya know.

(A handful of email addresses or local ph #s that could be utilized for information. Perhaps a starting point, an assist from a US-based email. Possibly avoid a trip, and be able to remotely submit or courier visa application and documents to tehran..??) I've never done anything like this, but just a thought.

Thanks for trying to answer my question! Unfortunately the embassy in Iran is the one who handles Pakistani visa applicants. And, the require all applicants attend an in person interview . That is what I was hoping is there was a way to do everything through the mail.
