Hey folks, hopefully someone out there with a similar experience can help me out.
My husband filed I 130 petition for me back July 2013 when he was a green card holder only. Priority date is 12/2/2013 (Currently its May 2013.) My petition got approved in February 2014 and soon after was sent to NVC and we got a NVC case number aswell. But since then there were no further updates or we were never sent the fee bill or the DS 3032 form. Were we suppose to get those documents or is it because our PD wasnt current or near to being current?
Now my husband is going through the naturalization process, and is currently inline for his interview. He plans to upgrade the status to IR1 as soon as he gets the citizen certificate. But should approach NVC right now to send us the fee bill and other docs to expedite the process??

No they won't be sending hm anything until you are current. They don't expedite the process for you. So once your husband has his naturalization papers he needs to send n ASAP and it does take some time to update. Like about 2 to 3 months.

And there is no more DS-3032 (DS-261 online took its place)..

Here's a spreadsheet you can look people up don't know if it will really help. Not all F2A's on here naturalized. Most are so close they don't even bother to send in their papers because it is so slow.

Other wise you would have to search around on VJ. I know there are Threads for F2A that are on gong talk to them some are active in NVC some aren't.

I was on the same issue. My case also approved in February 2014 and remain in nvc for 10 months.then I became cutizen and send them to upgrade it took me almost 66 days to upgrade to cr1. Plz once ur husband natiralized u need to scan and email his citizenship certificate .also mail them but as per my experience they will be checking ur email faster than mail.scan ur docs and email to asknvc@state.gov.it might not take long if u email them I mailed the docs so it took me that long .

how were you notified of upgrade? do they send you an email saying case upgraded or they will just proceed with the case and that you'll have to assume it was upgraded?
