Green Card Missing!!!???

This is just soo frustrating! My greencard is missing. ???It shows in the USPS website that it has been delivered in our mailbox but to our surprised, it was not there. So we went to the USPS office and told them about it. The supervisor was helpful enough to tell one of the carrier to accompany my husband in our place and open all the mail boxes to check wether the assigned carrier put it in the wrong mailbox. But still they could't find it. Our guess is that the carrier put it in the wrong mailbox, we are hoping that whoever has it will drop it in the "miss-throw mailbox" and if not then we have to call USCIS about what happened and request for a new card (which is very stressful to think). ??? I just wish that it was sent via EXPRESS MAIL so it would have require my signature when USPS delivered it but it didn't happen that way. ???

I really am frustrated and exhausted but still trying to be patient. But right now I cant help but burst into tears. I feel like we did what we are supposed to do but others just don't care and don't do their job correctly which is so irresponsible. ???

The process of delivering the GC is appalling. They just leave it and to think its such an important piece of document!

Hi, uscis sent it to the right address, it was USPS fault, the carrier accidentally put it in the wrong mailbox, the postman is new on his job. Now they can't trace it in what mailbox. When my husband went to the

Post office, the supervisor confirmed it that it was delivered, coz on their file it showed that the envelope was scanned.

sometimes the dates on the tracking page say the document has been delivered when it actually isn't going to arrive until the next day. How many days has it been since your GC said it was delivered?

How I wish this is the case. They sent me a couple of txt and email updates today. I am

so worried coz USPS confirmed it that the carrier delivered it to the wrong mailbox, which they can't trace to what mailbox. Hopefully whoever has it will really return it. :-(

We had pretty much the same thing happen to us (my wife's shows delivered, but never was) and since the USPS shows the document delivered, USCIS will require the fee be paid to issue a new card. We opted not to. We had her passport stamped and held off until we filed for ROC. We are still in the ROC process (started in Nov) so my wife still doesn't have a green card, but the passport stamp has served us well, she got a Driver's License, SSN, etc, etc. I'm not paying the fee for a new card when it wasn't our mistake.

Yep, it's insanity. Way back when, ours went missing, luckily I was tracking it on my phone, called the local post office, read them the riot act, they met my wife and handed it to her. Luckily, it was mis-sorted rather than mis-delivered in our case, but it is obnoxious that they don't ship it express - who wouldn't pay another $20 for that option?

You don't have to pay for a new card. Read the i90 instructions.

Hello, the greencard that they issued is good for 10 yrs since we are married for over 2 yrs when we applied for AOS.

It really is crazy if we have to pay when its not even our fault. Good thing I have read it on their website that if the GC is issued but never receive it, there will be no cost.

By the way, how did your wife's passport get stamped? Did you guys just go to your uscis local office?

to get your passport stamp, simply go to your local USCIS office.
