Flight to Korea?

Hello all,

This is kind of unrelated to VJ since it has nothing to do with immigration, but my sister just got a job in Korea and she can't find any flights from Atlanta for less than $4,000. Can anyone here give us a better idea of how much flights should be? She has to be in Korea by February 25 and stay for one year, and she has to book a round trip ticket because of her E-class visa.

I posted this in another room but no one was very helpful.

Thanks,

Dana

she buys this ticket... and just pay one hundred dollars to change the return date after she purchase the round trip ticket.. It is good for one year to return on standby....... Or she can pay one hundred dollars extra to change the return date once she is in Korea...

she would be able to use the other half of the ticket on a standby flight in the year 2007... Or she can only pay the hundred dollar change fee plus ticket cost difference when she returns.... When she enters Korea she just tells Immigration she will be there for one year on business... They do not ask to see the return ticket because she can not get on the plane in the first place without one....

With little effort I found one for $1753 on expedia. Saving $2200 dollars.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Thanks for your help everyone. I think many of you who think finding a ticket to Korea with so-called "little effort" are not following the stringent guidelines in the email. Also, +/-$2,000 is still not affordable at all for us.

Thank you so much to those with the great idea of flying to CA or using an airline with a hub in Korea (wow - who knew?). I think my sis is definitely going to take those suggestions. She thanks all of you for your input - it's a great start!
