Hello all,

Despite of getting our case complete, the NVC told us that we should bring an updated AOS package to the embassy. We don't have the interview date yet but we have a (stupid) question.

Let's say that the petitioner and joint sponsor fill and sign their new AOS forms as in January 3rd 2015. As you might now, the tax season won't be probably open till late January. If we get our interview date in February... Do we need to provide any evidence of filling taxes for 2014?

My guess is that we don't have to since the AOS forms would be dated before the tax season and it's deadline (mid April). But it just seems a little weird filling the AOS in 2015 and not providing any tax info from 2014.

The date of the interview we will be providing tax return transcripts from 2011, 2012 and 2013 along with 2014 pay stubs and an employment letter. What do you guys think? Anybody has been in this kind of situation in the previous years?

Thanks!

Thanks! I really need to start searching before asking

That's kinda what I thought. And yeah, I presumed there would be a lot of people in the same situation every year lol

It just seemed a little bit weird to leave that "tax gap" but oh well, if that's the way it is, then no worries!

You do not have to provide any tax information until on or after April 15th 2015.

In 2013, April 4 actually, we sent the I-864EZ, 2011, 2010, 2009 TRT, and pay stubs from Sept 2012 - March 2013. Even at my interview they didn't bother asking for an updated I-864EZ (even though it was in May.) It's possible my husband's job had something to do with that of course as he is a federal employee.
