Hey VJ's following the trend I've seen here, Im posting our history from application to interview;

I'm a student with a F-1 visa, got here in 2010 and I met my wife (USC) online on eHarmony on Oct 2013 and got married on Jun 2014.

Jul-19-2014 - We filed the I-130, without the I-485 because we were still getting documents together for it. (BIG MISTAKE)

Aug-18-2014 - We filed the I-485.

Sep-11-2013 - We do an early walk in at the local USCIS office in Lawrence, MA.

The next day we get an alert that we have an RFE on the way.

Sep-19-2014 - We sent out the RFE response, they needed some more tax returns.

Nov-17-2014 - Interview scheduled for Dec-22-2014.

Nov-20-2014 - I-765/I-131 approved. Got my SSN, renewed my license and got "legal" at my job.

Dec-22-2014 - The Interview;

We were scheduled for 1:35pm and got there at 1pm. At about 2:30 this guy calls us not by the regular door the interview people go, but at one of the counter areas. He said that our I-130 was not there, it was in Texas for some reason. So he has us fill a new I-130 and G-325A right there, sit back and wait. DONT FILE THE I-130 AND I-485 SEPARATELY.

At around 3pm he calls us thru the regular door, just my wife first. About 20-30 min later he comes back for me and we go to the room, my wife is sitting no in front of the desk but back on a chair against the wall, she smiles at me and I smile back then sit on the chair facing the IO, with my wife behind me.

After I swear he begins to ask the basic question that I answered on the I-485 and then moves to the real ones;

Where did you leave before?

How is the relationship between your wife and your mom?

Where did you go on your first date?

How did you meet?

How did you decide to get married?

Why didn't the parents go to the wedding?

How many tattoos does she has, and you? What do they say in your wife?

What was the last movie you guys watched together?

What do you do for fun on off days?

Asked about my wife's diet/lifestle. ( She's vegan)

Etc..

He asked my wife to some up and sit next to me. He asked if we had any documents to show the legitimacy of our marriage. I told him we don't have much because we are still very young and haven't had time to create much of a life together.

We give him bank statements showing a joint savings account, a affidavit from her dad, and pictures.

He says that everything is in order, but he needs to wait on the original I-130 that is in Texas before he can approve us and says that could take a few weeks. AGAIN, DONT FILE THE I-130 AND I-485 SEPARATELY.

He then explained about the removal of conditions and etc.

Considering our case had a couple of red flags because we got married so fast, that we didn't have anyone at our wedding and that we didn't have much bona fide evidence was overcame by the way that we met, the fact that her parents were getting a divorce and thats why we didn't have them at our shotgun wedding, and the fact that we needed this to happened so we can actually start a life together therefore build evidence of our marriage.

Some other things that I guesses it helped was that fact that we live in her dad's house all together and that our Q&A was pretty spot on about 98%.

He got especially intrigued with the fact that my wife went to visit her mom in Florida about 3 times since she moved back in February and I didn't go with her in none of this times. She made him understand that it was easier for her to travel whenever since is self empaled than it is for me with a demanding job. He saw tho that we went to California with her dad also for vacation, so that was a plus.

Later on the day I got an alert saying that "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"

I'm hoping that it doesn't actually take a few weeks to have the I-130 sent from Texas.

I'll be keeping this updated.
