Administrative processing

We had interview on 20 november 2014. The counsul asked us to e-mail 1040 for 2013 year. Now when i checking status since december 2 it states that case on administrative processing. Anyone can help to explaine it.

Ours was in Administrative processing right after the interview and 2 days latter went to Issued. Now we got an email that the courier has picked up the passport from the embassy.

So i think that status means they are doing the paperwork and printing the visa

Thanks for reply. I talk to attorney and he told me that it is mostly like backround check.

Do you now why they wanted your 2013 tax returns?

Did they ask for other years?

Are you self employed? If so, do you make at least $15,750/yr?

They might want evidence of solid income of sponsor.

Please answer ASAP - I have similar situation.

Because i submitted 2012 return and i was 100$ shorter to qualify for this year. The consul told us everything looks fine i just need co-sponsor or email to him new 1040 for 2013; that what i did.

Hmmm, that is a mystery to me. Call them directly and find an expert who really knows this stuff. Income verification is tricky. Can you legally amend your 2012? See tax accountant for that. What is the minimum income needed to sponsor a k1 beneficery from ir Philippines

did you send them the 2013 tax return or tax return transcript?

If yes then you just have to wait until they process the information. You are in AP because they haven't finished with your case because you left out important necessary information.
