Address for I-130?

Hi,

We're in the process of filling out our I-130 and I have a question about what address we should put down. First off I'm a USC who's been living continuously in Vietnam for over four years. Before that I moved around the US quite a bit since I come from an Air Force family and have never really had much of a permanent address. So my question is if I should use my address here in Vietnam or the address of my Aunt in Los Angeles whose address I used when filing for a marriage here in Vietnam?

And then for my wife who is a Vietnamese citizen; we live together now, but that address in Vietnam is considered "temporary" and her parents address is considered "permanent". On our marriage certificate it has her permanent address listed.

I suspect it's best to keep things consistent and both us use what's on our marriage certificate. But I worry that that might indicate that I'm not overseas and maybe that would change things or cause confusion? What do you think? We really appreciate your help.

there's a special, hidden queue for overseas filers. the folk that first sort out yer casefile (not the adjudicator) has to see blatant stuff that you are filing from overseas. Get in that queue? Can have fast casefile processing on the I-130.

I suggest using the address on the marriage certificate.

Before going much further, please recheck with HCMC USA Embassy, see if I-130 is accepted there via Direct Consular Filing, or no.

Hi thanks so much for your help. Is that special hidden queue you mentioned the same as direct consular filing or something different all together? My understanding is that Vietnam does not do that unfortunately. And for the blatant stuff to show that I'm overseas, is that needed at this point in the process or is that later? I have lots of payslips and bank statements and of course a letter from the police confirming my address if that helps.

Thanks

I-130 submittal - must be blatant IN the I-130 submittal.

no DCF in HCMC? OK !

DCF to HCMC is not the hidden queue at USCIS in USA, no. 2 different things.
