simple question How long does it takes to receive EAD AND AP AFTER BIOMETRICS TAKEN?

So I went to my biometrics appointment one week ago and nothing yet, since my husband is a citizen by birth once i sent all my application within 2 weeks I got all the confirmation and letters from USCIS, now is being one week since my biometrics, and I was wondering

How long does it normally takes to receive the EAD/AP on the mail?

my biometrics was for I-485 AND I-765

Am I going to receive a letter with the appointment for the interview just after I receive my EAD/AP Or does the letter/appointment for interview comes before EAD/AP?

thanks everyone, also if you can tell me if it is safe to travel from LAX LA airport to Portland Jetport in Maine while I only have confirmation of biometrics taken and cases being processed? risks of being deported or are internal flights ok? Thanks so much for any info

The EAD should come pretty soon. No more than a couple weeks.

About travelling INSIDE the US, your immigration status is a non-issue. As long as you have a valid ID, such as your foreign passport, you are good to catch a flight from one location to another - with or without EAD/AP. Note carefully: This applies only to travelling inside US borders. You step out of the US borders without the AP and your goose is fried better than a thanksgiving turkey.

Thanks a lot, but there is no risk of domestic or regional flights to end up getting out of the borders right? if it said it would only go from one airport inside USA to another one

Also, I see in your timeline your husband's temporary GC got extended for one year, how did you do that?

Was I supposed to receive a notice by mail or letter ? Cause is being 9 days since i took my biometrics and I received nothing, Or is just wait for the card?

In the stamp that they gave me on the appointment letter ''biometrics processing stamp''

it says : ASC SITE CODE : XXXX

That biometrics was for both I=485 AND I-765, is that right to only receive ONE ASC SITE CODE? Can I use it to check something? I want to know if my biometrics have been accepted or not and don't know how.

I have signed up for email updates on my cases so got email and after that checked on USCIS website too.

That's funny cause i have signed up for email updates as well and received no email about confirmation that my biometrics was taken :/

Negative; USCIS didn't notify me about biometrics appointment for biometrics been captured.

USCIS Notified me only when my case was approved and that was 4 days after the biometrics were captured.

when did you file your application? Has 90days passed? if not wait till 90days and then request for action of being outside normal processing time (reference USCIS website)

my AOS package I-130/i-485/I-765/AP

I got the confirmation notice for it and then the bio appointment, I went to the bio appointment, is being 10 days, and didn't heard about the USCIS, So this is normal right? They only check the backgroung and then send the EAD card, uscis doesn't tell people that the biometrics passed the check or anything like that? that's what I meant, notification about background being done and be in process ... Thank you for your help appreciate it

That is normal. If you fill in your timeline (see immigration timelines at the top of the web page) when you look at it, it will give you an estimated timeframe for when to expect the EAD/AP card. It takes 60-90 days. I did biometrics in June and received my card in August.

Sit tight, this process os one of "hurry up as wait".

Hey!

My hubby had his biometrics on July 15th. His EAD/AP combo card was approved on August 14th. We received the actual card on August 22nd. According to the USCIS website, you can now make an inquiry about your EAD after 75 days. So like CdnRn said, it really is a matter of hurry up and wait.

Good luck with this process. Although it can be helpful to explore the timelines of other people, just remember that every case is unique. We filed June 6th and have yet to even move to "testing and interview." I had a friend file a month after me, using the same service center and a local office with similar processing times. She was approved for her green card a month ago... and we are still waiting for word of an interview. Stay strong! And I hope you are among the lucky ones with a speedy AOS!
