Processing time

My comment was specifically about Philippines. It appears that other countries are slower, even the neighbor Canada. I do not know why that is put it has been my observation as of late. Philippines also has the benefit of having a "flexible" US Embassy in Manila, which most other countries do not have, so the US does seem to favor Philippine applicants in both processing times and flexibility of embassy and interview scheduling. Maybe because of the close ties between the two countries, but then again, Canada would then be highly favored as well, which does not seem to be the case. Again, I do not understand why this is but that seems to be reality today.

As much as it could definitely be true that they favor them, this is NOT always the case! I've read about Filipinos waiting months and months in the past. Right now the expedite is because of the typhoon, as I mentioned. Not because the US is just deciding to favor them because they like the government, lol. Anyways, this can kind of show the "slowness" of some countries in comparison to others: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90

It has to really do more with USCIS before the NOA2 than the country of origin. Once the NVC transfers the case, then it's all about the country's consulate (as you can see in the link with time it takes for interview!).

Yes in the past, but things seems to have become much speedier as of late. I have a Phil friend who too 18 months to process back in 2011, but it seems processing times since then have become shorter and shorter. It does not mean for for every Filippina but for many the processing time has decreased dramatically to only a few weeks. Maybe the typhoon is the reason, but according to what I have read, only cases from affected areas would be expedited and not all Phil cases. Maybe I am wrong on this but that is what I read. Maybe the USCIS ultimately decided to expedite all Phil cases as opposed to only expedite those from affected typhoon areas. Also, I wonder why manila has a flexible US Embassy as other countries do not. That has nothing to do with the typhoon but is a privilege extended to Philippines and maybe 1-2 more countries, while majority of countries do not have that benefit.

Yes I'm from the Philippines and our case is being processed at csc. I know, This waiting time is killing me. and also worried about getting an rfe coz we have nothing to show them anymore we have sent every single evidence that we could possible show them

Killing you after a little over a month and a half? Most people wait MONTHS. Be thankful.

While the K-1 petition might be processed and approved quickly, the embassy used to be a serious bottleneck with some people unable to schedule an appointment for months... There is always delay somewhere along the process. And even if your K-1 process is fast overall, get used to waiting when you file for for AOS! :clock:

From what I read, heard and noticed it is not up do date at all, cause it is based on general speculation about processing times and not actual evidence and facts received from case managers who process cases within USCIS offices and who are the ones knowing what cases they are processing based on filing dates and how long cases might take to process.
