I'm trying to find this answer and have had no luck. I'm planning to fly to hawaii after we have our wedding once my fiance comes in on K1 visa. Hawaii is the US but since its not continental US would that be an issue? Obviously we wont have time to start AOS process since we will likely fly out few days after we actually file for the marriage license. I keep finding info about international travel but nothing about hawaii.

Read this I think it can help you

Updates usually means they are doing some work on the case. How many times you got updates since the interview date?

No changes in first 4 months, then I emailed once then they updated. AND

Now in last every 10 days they are updating. (3 updates).

if u get refusal at interview Time and then They Put u In AP for 3.8 year and still in AP can someone get visas or just time wasting ?

Yes there is a chance you will get your visa if they put your case in AP instead of sending it back to the United States. They may want to interview you again at some point in time or send people out to your area to ask questions about you before they issue the visa.

Thank you mkala g. U gave me a hope. That was winderful of u.

ANY OTHER MEMBER HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE?

Updates mean they are working on your case. I tell all the members to be prepared for the embassy to call and ask if you can fly to the United States in 1 month or 2. They gave my husband a visa that was only good for 1 month. If they call you must tell them you can fly within a short period of time or they may make you wait months or years more for the visa.

Hello everyone.

So my wife submitted the medical etc to amex on the 7th, saturday.

It was most likely delivered to the embassy on monday as monday the embassy was open and it was not a public holiday. Received an update on tuesday the 10th. Im guessing this update was because they received the docs. yesterday the 11th embassy was closed due to veterans day public holiday in usa. And today is the 12th, no update or call/email today. Hoping for some good news soon.

What does your friend plan to do about his 7 day visa. Can he fly to the USA or will he try to get more time from the embassy?
