called NVC several times, they even said one time, that Consulate has received the package.

but when I write to Consulte, their response is still that they didn't receive the physical package from NVC, therefore, they can't process just yet.

Consulte even mentioned because of the custom, it may even takes upto 4 months or longer for them to set an interview date.

question is what I Should do now?

Thanks.

Do they normally send off the package before setting the date? This sounds strange!

For China the embassy schedules the IR1/CR1. Nothing you can do but keep in touch with the embassy.

Only correct if the OP did not opt for EP and it's the Consulate in Guangzhou where immigrant visa interviews take place, not the Embassy in Beijing.

OP, did you scan and email your documents to the NVC or just mail them.

if NO EP at NVC -

casefile transits from NVC TO China Customs Warehouse in Guangzhou.

Casefile sits (per treaty) in China Customs Warehouse for 1 to 4 months.

Casefile then retrieved from China Customs Warehouse by US Consulate/Guangzhou/IV Unit.

Casefile OPENED by IV Unit, AP status in CEAC . Wait a month, more background checks and there's a queue

Guangzhou IV schedules the interview, sends out an interview letter for 20 to 45 days after.

so, you could be waiting more, maybe 3 to 7 months, until the interview date

if EP at NVC -

NVC sets the interview date after case complete, within a 20 to 60 day window, based on queue at NVC, for an interview 20 to 45 days out.

So, did you submit an I-864 as a pdf file into nvcelectronic@state.gov ? if yes, then you're an EP case. If no, then you did all paper processing at NVC.

if consular casefile # starts with 'GUZ' then no EP at NVC.

if consular casefile # starts wtih 'GZO' then EP done at NVC.

whaddya got, which casefile type are you ?
