need advice on attending interview in Haiti

Hello all. My husband's interview is scheduled for next month, December 16th to be exact and I need advice on whether or not I should attend my husband's interview at the consulate in Haiti. Will it be better for us if I attended? Did any of you not attend your spouse's interview and everything was OK? I just got back(yesterday!!) from visiting him and saw the email about his interview, so taking another trip in a month would be very difficult for me..but I could probably make it happen if you all deemed it necessary. Please, your opinions are greatly appreciated.

I didn't attend my fiance's interview and it wasn't a problem for us. It does help that you were just there to visit so he's got recent evidence of a continuing relationship. I haven't done much tracking for CR-1s but most K-1 applicants don't have their SO at the interview and they seem to be approved without a problem most of the time.

Do you have any red flags that might cause them to question your relationship? If you do, look them over and practice answers with your husband on answering them and then decide if it's worth taking the chance of not going.

I'm sure some other folks from Haiti will chime in with more specific help

As u just came back, that is plus sign. Hand him over the copies of travel documents / visa / passport to show that u were with him recently

but yea having ur spouse with you during interview is termed positive . That is what i could understand from this forum, therefore my wife and i have planned that she will be here with me for my interview

My hubby had his interview last month. I wasn't there with everything went great. Make copies of all the stamps in your passport. The CO asked my hubby to proove the last time I went to haiti. He said it but the CO wanted to see the stamp. Thanks God he had a copy. You shoul be fine

Thanks for your replies. After checking ticket prices(ridiculously high..due to the holidays, I guess?) and not wanting to miss work again, I think I'm just going to pay DHL and send him EVERYTHING I think he may be asked for. I'll even include my passport if need be

Don't, the only reason your spouse would carry in your passport is if you were there. Just send copies of the pages containing visas and/or entry exit stamps of times you went there or for any trips you may have taken together.
