Is I-130 supporting evidence for I-485?

In other words, is the I-130 (and all its supporting evidence) submitted twice, once by itself and once with the I-485? Or is the I-130 only filed with the I-485 and only one copy of the I-130's evidence is needed? Furthermore, are the I-130 and I-485, packaged separately or together? I married a non-immigrant who was already in the US with H-1B status.

that's a great question. I filed the I-130 a year ago and attached the approval notice (NOA2) with the I-485 last month. As far as I know, you file concurrently but they can be adjudicated separately. You do not need to file the I-130 twice although my ex-lawyer said to file another one along with the i-485 because it's processed faster. I didn't buy it.
