So which one would be better accepted or approved? Or faster I should say. Which one is faster to speed the process?

NOA1 is what you just received. This is acceptance. Depending which service center you go to depends on the amount of time you wait for your NOA2 , approval. You Can check out the immigration timelines to see what date they are working on in Texas and how long your wait may be.

Good luck!!!! :thumbs:

Just got my NOA2 via email! :)

Yay!!!!! Congratulations :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Super happy for you :)

I haven't got any email but I just checked my case status and my I130 has been approved. 24 days from NOA1 to NOA2. Good luck everyone!

Congrats Vrao!!!! :dancing::jest:

So which one would be better accepted or approved? Or faster I should say. Which one is faster to speed the process?

Step 1 - Petition gets accepted (NOA1)

Step 2 - Petition gets approved (NOA2)

Step 2 can't happen before Step 1. So, no, one is not better than the other. If you get your NOA1 in 7-10 days and NOA2 in 21-35 days you are on track for a speedy process. The chances for these timelines are higher if your petition gets routed to the California Service Center. You will know where the petition's been routed in your NOA1. At least, that's my understanding from these forums. Good luck!

Feeling annoyed. ..Still no NOA1, sent Nov.17th. Check cashed a week ago :/

Hi, it could be that they haven't sent you an email but the mail could be on its way. I never got an email but when I checked my case status my I130 was approved. Also, a few people have had it this way...no email but the NOA1 hard copy in the mail a few days later! I have a strong feeling your NOA1 should come up in the mail end of this week or next week.

If we aren't given a checklist we are estimating about 3-4 months to get to interview. That is if all goes well. Seems NVC is really backlogged and are taking the full amount of time suggested in their emails. That's our best guess at this point. Good luck! Join the NVC forums to get more info!

I only have one question. Where can I check the Texas timeline u mentioned?

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/<< If you look on the right side under "Processing Dates For Common Forms" the current date they are working on for I-130 @ Texas is in June. That means you are likely looking at around a 5 month wait. :clock: I'm sorry. There is always the exception and things get pushed through so it isn't always accurate but is the best guess at this point. Hang in there !!!!

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong! This is how I calculated wait times.
