such a simple concept, so hard for so many

It shouldn't be so hard for our politicians and law makers. They all want to make new rules without even trying to follow the one's already in place. Laws and rules need some teeth to be effective. All this gumming doesn't cut it.

I know you are logical about the situation, but honestly. You can't talk to the deniers about the current immigration problem, that is larger than ever without them bringing up something that happened almost 40 years ago,. Yes Reagan should not have signed, but to be fair they never followed up or enforced the provisions of the bill as promised.

It would be like saying it's ok If a Republican makes a racist Statement because Robert Byrd was in the KKK or because the Dems we against ending slavery. It just has no bearing on the issue today

During the 12 years 1995 - 2007, Republicans held the House majority. They held the Senate for 10 of those 12 years as well and had the White House for six of those years to boot. So there were six full years of total Republican governance that ended in Jan 2007. For all that Republican talk about better border control, them borders should have been air tight by then if they really meant what they say. Of course, they don't. Any rational person can figure that out. But some here like to pretend otherwise.

Yep. Both parties have their own selfish reasons for not securing the border. It will be interesting to see what happens Tuesday when the GOP takes over the Senate too. Any bets on E-Verify being made mandatory? Not a snowballs chance in hell.

Because Reagan screwed us over 30 years ago, that somehow makes what Obama is doing ok. Liberal Logic 101, SMH

You deserve a

A. Bush's fault . can also be "conjure up any conservative in history that even remotely did anything similar to what is going on today. It makes it ok.

How long are you allowed to keep you middle of the road plaque out when most of your posts are as an apologists for right non centrist views?

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I am more interested in the stupidity of the 6%

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

But we keep voting the same idiots into office. As long as we continue to do this they will continue to ignore the public's demands.

They're all bought and paid for. The elections are nothing but a charade. Corporations govern this land no matter who gets into office.

So why bother voting? It's all pre-decided. And if ever a politician did get into office with designs to change things, his/her party affiliates wouldn't allow it to happen.

Am I the last person here that thinks:

I should participate by voting?

That my vote matters?

That my vote is not the only catalyst for changing things?
