Fastest way to send docs to Koronadal (near General Santos City)?

Got the NOA2 and now I need to send her some documents. I want to send them quickly. Regular mail takes at least a month (as does Priority Mail). I'm thinking DHL? FedEx?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has sent to General Santos or Koronadal. What has your experience been?

Haven't shipped to either using either. Just the perspective of a Filipino-American living in Manila. Both Fedex and DHL have a heavy presence here. Shipping times will be definitely faster using either. Never send important stuff using USPS.

I dont know much about Philippines mail but my envelope got here (Romania) from my fiance in a week with regular usps mail, some other girls from Romania received their envelopes via fedex or dhl and it took from 1 to 2 weeks but paying alot more

I will reiterate. NEVER, EVER send anything of value, importance, or consequence to the Philippines via USPS.

It's not the USPS part that's problematic, it's once it's here in the hands of PhilPost. Particularly if it's provincial delivery.

That's speaking from personal experience living here. Things are usually sent via air courier. You pay more, but it'll definitely get where it needs to go, faster, unopened, and intact.

I used to spend a lot of time in a city about halfway btw Davao and GenSan, Use either DHL or Fed Ex. Don't use USPS

Either will be better than UPS. UPS Letter PAK to Bulacan rated out at 3 times the cost of FedEx, so they must have extremely limited Phil presence.

DHL I believe will interface with LBC, at least it worked that way when sending docs from Phil to US.

USPS is good for inconsequential letters, nothing else.

Never ever use USPS/Phil Post to ship anything to the Philippines. I have always used DHL and Fedex to ship anything to the Philippines, this includes gifts and official papers. The guy delivered it straight to my wife's house up in Compostela Valley province, which is North of Davao City.

I have shipped one thing to Korondal for a friend of mine who is from there. I bought a watch online for my friend's sister using Amazon.com. They used the USPS to ship it and it transferred over to Phil Post to take it down to Mindanao. My friend's sister finally got the watch after 3 weeks of it saying that it was transferred over to Phil Post, also her sister and I kept calling and calling the office. Be advised that if you use Phil Post shipments have a tendency of NEVER showing up or even showing up months later usually lighter by a few things in the shipment.

I understand that DHL and Fedex costs more, but I pay more to get a better peace of mind.

Yeah, after I sent in my I-129F, I sent her a copy of it via USPS Priority Mail. That was October 2nd. She still hasn't received it. The last tracking update was October 4th in California. I'll wait a few more weeks and if she still doesn't have it, I'll resend it via DHL.

A copy of the I-129F petition package is not needed for the visa application process. With that said if you want to send a copy to her why don't you simply email it as a .PDF much easier and for sure cheaper, most printer/scanners do this "out of the box".

The VJ guide for the embassy process is not the best, seriously lacking and misguided.

USPS Registered Mail seems to get to that region in less than 2 weeks. I've sent letters and post cards to my wife in Davao del Norte via regular first class mail, but they never got there. Then I tried Registered Mail and it seems it gets there fine. The last Registered Mail letter I sent got there in 9 days. I guess the chain of custody that comes with Registered Mail keeps PhilPost honest.

Thanks! I think I'll give this a try with just a regular letter and see how it goes. I'm planning to send important stuff via FedEx or DHL.

@ Hank We're currently waiting for my case # from the NVC. Now my question is, my fiance plans to mail me tomorrow (LBC) all the supporting documents that l will be needed during my interview. You think it's too early for him to mail me those if in case l could have my slot for my interview either December or early January?
