Hi VJ fellas,

I was wondering how long it would take to receive a case #. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now and NVC still didn't receive my K1 package yet. Does anyone know how long it would take? Does the automated message machine give you the case #?

2 weeks? and you are whining?

We are waiting since 46 days and still waiting.

NVC actually is a mess.

Maybe 3 months to have a case number, if you are lucky.

this makes me frustrated to know that some cases taking shorter time to get to NVC and others longer. I called last week friday the 7th and my case arrived that very day.. it was 3 weeks from my NOA2 from California... I think the NVC is swamped with loads of cases not on K1 but CR1 as well.... we all just need to pray

it is very frustrating with no true real reason. there is no exact science and i can imagine it is a daunting task to see loads and loads of paperwork in front of you. I don't know, I just hope to hear something soon. I was hoping he would be here by Feb. but based on how things are moving and how JA seems to hold onto the passports after approval...I am no longer as hopeful as I once was for a speedy visa journey.

USCIS told me this morning to wait 90 days, I asked to be transferred to a Tier 2 and she said they were too busy to transfer and to call back later today or tomorrow. Ummm....yeah. This is no fun especially when you see approval dates after yours getting their information.
