sent in our petition on 10/14 to the Chicago Lockbox, got a text message on 10/23 that it was accepted and being sent to the Vermont Service Center. I hear children under 18 in the Philippines are processed quickly.... Anybody know?? good luck everyone!

Very happy for those who get approved so quick but is a lil unfair how many people have to wait months to get approved.

We filed at the beginning of the month through the Chicago office. It took about a week but it was received and approved and is now on its way to the California office.

Has anyone from October been able to see any of their status online at uscis.gov yet?

Yes I have.. on my NOA1 my priority date is stated as 10/10 (got the text message on 10/14) and started checking right away. I was able to see the case status around 10/17.

I just got our NOA1 via email yesterday, I guess it's too early to be able to see mine, they said to wait for the hard copy before I can go check. :clock:

Hi! I sent off our I-130 on October 11th to Phoenix, they received it October 14th, and I received a text and e-mail on October 16th that they accept and routed our petition to Nebraska. :)

I was told it could take 30-45 days to find the case number online and for the customer service number to find it. I found this information out because the beneficiary name on our NOA1 is not fully correct, so I called to have them fix it.

There haven't been any updates though. Just the same message from October 6th stating 'initial review' and that our petition was received October 1st, etc.

No need to create an account to see your case status on uscis.gov and yes, your receipt number begins with EAC since your case was sent to Vermont. I don't know if when the case info is available is impacted by which service center it is sent to or if it is just a matter of luck. :unsure: The email for NOA1 clearly states to wait for the hard copy before checking case status, so it must be typical for there to be some delay.

What address will they mail the NOA1 hardcopy to? Your current listed on I-130? I ask because the South African postal service is on strike and nothing will come through. Perhaps I should call after i receive my e-mail?
