If I hear one more person say shut down all travel to and from all west african countries im going to be physically sick from worry. I keep thinking Nooooo...I gotta get my hubby out !!! Dont cancel the flights.!!! HONEY IM COMING FOR YOU! OK sorry, had to vent.

Well Nigeria isn't one of the countries even being considered. They have no issue with Ebola. It's just Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia. So no need to worry.

Hi! I agree, however trying to convince my family and co workers of my safety is becoming impossible. They're making me feel like im crazy for even considering going for another vist.

Hi! I agree, however trying to convince my family and co workers of my safety is becoming impossible. They're making me feel like im crazy for even considering going for another vist.

When were you planning to travel ? I would hold off for a little while until things continue to stay stabilized in Nigeria.

If you have a made up mind to go then don't waste too much energy convincing anyone but also know that they are just concerned

for you and love you. Tell them you believe you will be safe staying in a safe area blah blah and then just smile at them and don't try to

win them over. Refuse to be sucked into endless what if's but be cautious at the same time.

The problem is that other visitors will go from the affected countries into Lagos and therefore it remains somewhat of a risk.

NVC Received : some dinkelsberry yehoo in the house of clingons send our petition to the wrong consulate.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Thanks for the advice. Im going back in January. I was there in July. I may just have to keep it on the low and just keep my immediate family in the loop.

I wonder how understanding the CO's will be currently with their preference of frequent visits in regards to the health issues.

Yeah really! Probably not that understanding at all. I plan on taking two more trips unless we get approved quickly. Im going in Jan and again for the interview since we have the red flags. I dont know why but I feel an approval coming soon. Dont know why. I got that alien registration number changed email so im hoping, even though I know some say an approvals coming and some say a glitch. If we get a speedy approval then I will just go for the interview but either way im going to see my hubby. Hopefully the Ebola hype will have died down a bit.

It is not a hype. It is Ebola endemic and spreads quicker than anyone could've ever imagine. It is truly a threat for this country especially if the government has failed to respond it properly.

It is not a hype. It is Ebola endemic and spreads quicker than anyone could've ever imagine. It is truly a threat for this country especially if the government has failed to respond it properly.

Like I said once all the hype dies down regarding my travel to Nigeria where it hasnt reached epidemic staticstics I will keep my travels to myself. Thanks
