Yes, absolutely. Therefore the slogan "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." There is no way to implement such a law without civil war in the USA. So, there are two alternatives:

1. Be a victim,

2. Be a shooter

Well, shooting straight and shooting first is important too. It's a damned pity it's this way, but it is this way. So, choose option one or option two. I mean, for those who are anti gun anyway. The gun people already made their choice.

The slogan is a nonsense. You only have to look outside of the US to understand that where there are very few guns in circulation, the average criminal doesn't have a gun, doesn't seek out a gun or use a gun during the course of their crimes and law enforcement doesn't have to assume that anyone and everyone might be armed and act accordingly. The more guns there are in society, the more gun crime there will be and incidentally, the more accidental shootings will occur. It's a silly idea and I think more highly of a gun owner who doesn't circulate this trite nonsense than those who do.

Gun Incident in Guangxi Baishe City, Multiple People Open Fire on Each Other — The Guangxi province Baishe city Public Security Bureau has confirmed to Xinhua News that at around 7am on September 26th, a gun-related incident occurred in downtown Baishi city, involving multiple individuals opening fire at each other, so far with no casualties. Investigation has preliminarily determined that two groups of people had an altercation while drinking alcohol at Donghe First Road and Longchuan Alley, that became a group brawl, and when they discovered police were dispatched to put a stop to it, they open fired from a distance before dispersing.

Guns are illegal in China for the common citizen but somehow people always find them or produce them.

We have had several shootings and killings in the three weeks I have been here. Lots of criminals with guns. Very few legal gun owners here.

I asked my Brother in Law where they get the guns. He said up in Danao they have lots of people that make guns. Most of the criminals go there to buy guns from the hill people.

Seems it didn't work out so well for the gun aficionado either. The story isn't clear about who fired first, either way I'm guessing no shots would have been fired had the gas station clerk not been open carrying. I sure hope defending that gas station was worth it.
