Well, just called the USCIS trying to make an inquiry about my case. No luck getting to a Tier 2 agent today since there was already a case inquiry submitted on January 2, 2015, BUT she did file an expedite request for me since my baby is due in five weeks. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because that's not really a good reason for an expedite, but at least there is a chance. I shouldn't be having to even ask for one since it's been almost SEVEN MONTHS but since TSC is ridiculously slow I'm willing to see if it gets approved. Say a prayer for me and WISH ME LUCK!

Check out your consulate portal and see what others from Spain say. So much after USCIS depends on the embassy that will process the K-1. For instance, even how files are sent to the consulate from NVC depends on consulate - DHL (2 days) v regular US mail (7 days). Are they batched before they are sent (this can take 2 weeks) or are they sent individually? In our case files are batched and sent regular mail. We received our NOA2 1/15/2015 and the file was sent today 2/18/2015 should arrive 2/25/15 so 6 weeks.

When you are permitted to schedule medical and how interview is scheduled also varies greatly by consulate... so hard to give general estimate.

I received the official I-797 in the mail yesterday, 2-17-15. There was no need for me to call yesterday because my case had already been approved on 2-12-15 but I had not been notified. Apparently the notification system isn't working properly or there is a five day delay so maybe others are approved and don't know it yet!

The same is true for us! Got approved on Feb 12 and didn't get a message until Feb 18.... Anyway, we finally got approved!!!! They sure took their sweet time!!!
