I got mine today too!!! I hope everything moves fast for us!!! Some people wait two to four weeks for an NOA1!

Got our NOA1 email today too! Phew, now I can stop pushing refresh on my email every 5 minutes. Off to CSC.

How do you know where it goes?

Although I mailed the petition on Monday, it didn't arrive until late last night, so it was accepted only today. Oh well. No NOA1 or any other contact yet of course. Here's hoping that I am as lucky as Greg and we get routed to CSC!

Unfortunately, you will be routed to TSC due to the state you live in. Greg is in Minnesota and they are processed by CSC. The good news is, TSC may actually be moving a little faster than earlier in the year so keep the faith and good luck.

P.S. Great city you live in. I moved from there, not by choice, a year and a half ago and really miss it.

Can I ask about the Alien Registration Number changed? I haven't heard anything about that, is it something I should expect?

Hi, thank you for the feedback. Yeah, I realize that being a resident of TEXAS means that I'm likely to be routed to the TSC. However I also understand that the TSC unloaded a bunch of its I-129F petitions to the CSC not too long ago, so the thought was that maybe I could be in that group. It's unlikely, a stretch and probably N/A, but that is why I used the phrase "Here's hoping that I am as lucky as...". But it's gonna be what it's gonna be. Time will tell. I don't hold out much hope that TSC will increase their processing speed anytime soon.

Regarding the city of Austin, yeah, it is a beautiful place to live. I actually live in a suburb North of Austin near Round Rock. More family oriented, dramatically low crime rates, etc. Sorry you had to leave, perhaps you will have the opportunity to return someday. Be sure to get in touch if you do. It looks like your beneficiary is from Russia too, so the other halves might be interested in becoming friends. :-)

The ARN change is a standard procedure from the service centers. It can happen within a couple of days of NOA1, like mine did, or a couple of weeks. In some cases, people never hear about it but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen. It won't affect the outcome of your case in any way, so it is nothing to worry about. Good luck.

Ah ok, know that area as I go through there regularly. Technically I'm in Leander, though almost to Georgetown. I prefer acreage lots, thus the reason for living here. A bit further out, but not too much. My fiancee visited me earlier this year on a tourist visa and loved the open space with distance from neighbors. I was actually rather concerned about that, since she has lived most all of her life in Moscow, but she likes the dacha lifestyle; therefore "country livin'" suits her well. Thankfully. Also, I own a Volga, so you'd have to check that out too. You don't see many of them on the streets. :-)

Well, things are definitely going strangely for me. First USPS lost the package. After a friendly visit to local post office they found it, and off it went on its merry way. Delivered to the "lockbox" on Sept. 9. Check was cashed on Sept 12 (or, rather, it was withdrawn as an ACH transfer, curious). I did not register for electronic notifications so not sure what's going on - but no NOA1 yet.

Assuming NOA1 does not come through (perhaps my post office is at fault again, they are pretty unreliable, unfortunately) - how would I get any information from USCIS? Is there a contact number to call and find out anything about the case?
