Got our NOA2 on 10/18. Called NVC yesterday and still nothing. Going to try again Monday. Good luck and lots of patience to everyone still waiting! Every time I've called its been about 6-6:30 am PST (I'm in Cali). At 6 am, I got through on the third try and sat on hold about a half hour I think. The second time I had to call back about 30 times and sat on hold about the same amount of time. Wondering if I should call back since a lot of you have gotten case #'s.

I got my NOA2 October 15th, so this Wednesday will make it three weeks, if I don't get anything in the mail I'm going to try calling, though I hear that can be an incredible waste of time. From what I'm seeing while many people from September received their NOA2's, no one has heard anything from the NVC yet in mail form unless they've had the patience to call a million times and hope to get through. Basically in order to contact the embassy with specific visa questions, aka where can they get their medical done, you need to have that magical number the NVC assigns to you. Even though the embassy won’t be able to answer specific questions about your case since they don’t have the file, with that number you can get general answers. Mainly I want my fiancée to get the medical out of the way so if he has to wait to get that appointment it isn’t holding him up for the interview. Then it’s just filling out the forms and submitting everything. I also want to confirm what exactly the embassy wants me to send for the affidavit of support so I can ship that off in the mail and give it time to get down there. I hear FedEx is the most reliable for shipping documents internationally, does anyone have thoughts on that?

I got my NOA2 on Oct 7th, called NVC many times, Finally yesterday I was able to get My NVC Case Number. It was created on Oct 31st, so it about 18 days after NOA2 was noticed. During this time you should get ahead start on gathering docs for the affidavit for support, tax transcripts, bank statements, letter of employment, each consulate is different without the NVC case number sometimes they wont let you schedule your medical without that, in the meantime learn how to complete the DS-160 and pay for the fee, but you will have to get the NVC case # and also an Invoice identification # as well, make sure you ask the agent when you call NVC.

Hope that helps and gives you an estimated time. Each case varies so hope yours goes by fast.

Yup, personally we waited 3weeks and that would be my advice to everyone, way more chance of getting the news you want without the subconcious disappointment if you wait the minimum 2weeks suggested. NVC says 30days, people suggest 14days so I find 21days a happy and safe medium. :D

NOA 2 on 10/18 and finally got our London case #! WOOT WOOT! They said they received our case 11/4 and its going through adminstrative processing. I asked if they knew how long it would take for our case to be mailed out, and they said they had no idea. They couldn't even give me a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how that works or about how long it takes? The closer we get to final approval, the more anxious I get lol.

I honestly have no clue but I'm guessing maybe they're transferring your case or tsc might have changed their receipt code. If I were you I'd call and ask them what's going on.

Why did it take so long for you to get your NOA1? It took over a month!

Hello guys! Yeah, our docs got rerouted to Vermont, we don't know why.. We explicitly sent it to TSC address..then VSC mailed us the NOA1, then they sent the docs back to TSC..the reason why our NOA1 took so long :( The guy (customer service) reassured us that they're gonna email/snail mail our updated receipt# and that we just have to wait now for NOA2.. We feel at least relieved with the news. :)

09/05/14: I-129F Sent via USPS Mail

09/18/14: Got a text that the Package was received at USCIS Lockbox

10/13/14: Packet received Date

10/22/14: NOA1 mail arrived but we got the one issued in VSC instead of TSC :( Had a different Receipt# that starts with TSC.

***Our docs got rerouted to TSC again..(According to their CSR) but we have no idea how it got sent to VSC.

11/03/14: I-129F approved at TSC

11/10/14: Notice Date

11/21/14: Received our NOA1 in the mail. (Updated one with the correct Receipt#)

04/21/15: NOA2 Notice Date

04/24/15: Got a computer generated text from USCIS (NOA2)

05/11/15: Received our NOA2 mail.

...................waiting for the NVC letter..

Wow.. So is your case officially at TSC or VSC? I didn't even know VSC still did the k-1 visas.. I'm so sorry for your mix-up but I'm glad you're on the right track now! Good luck!

Any September filers in the Texas Service Center that have their NOA2?

no unfortunately not unless it is expedited cases. i believe they are still on june or just hitting july either or :(

hope your not left too long. for more piece of mind and for september filers waiting for TSC to do something there is a september TSC discussion. this one is mixed TSC and CSC although most TSC moved there.

best of luck in your journey :)
