This is no time for Liberals to be trying to ban guns at any Kroger stores nationwide.

Talk to the Moms Demand Action group. They're the ones doing this. Or do you have a problem if the group isn't defined? Maybe some mothers that have lost their children to gun violence aren't liberal or conservative, just wanting to protect other children.

IMO MDA and Newtown aren't really grassroot groups. They are people Bloomberg has sought out and uses in his million dollar campaign.

The latest attack ad I saw from Newtown was actually pro gun without even realizing it. An angry ex is pounding on the door while the woman calls 911. He breaks the door in and kills her.

They basically just pointed out the police can't get there in time, and the only thing that would have saved her was a firearm or some sort of equalizer.

It cuts to a close up of a revolver being fired out of context. Your supposed to assume the ex shoots her, but its rather ironic because you could also argue she used it in defense.

Part 1: I don't live in the best neighborhood in my city. I've been approached in a parking lot by someone asking for a dollar. I didn't even have a dollar at the time and I politely told the guy that. The next thing, the guy is coming at me, "give me a F'n dollar!!" I got between my wife and him and we began walking backwards to the store.

Am I afraid going to the supermarket? Yes. I don't own a gun, but I might consider buying one someday unless we are able to move into a better neighborhood. The race of the guy doesn't matter, so I won't bring it up.

Part 2: I spent this summer in the Philippines with my wife. I didn't post at all while I was there (just a promise I had made to myself) I did, however, read what was going on. I still do.

There was one post made while I was gone that I haven't forgotten:

We tussled, but it never got racial. Which is why when he used to bash Obama, I knew race had nothing to do with it.

I'm pretty conservative and that statement really got to me. It is very important to me, for numerous reasons, that I not be considered a racist. And, for someone that I respect to say that really shocked me. To label someone racist based on nothing at all is just wrong. I realized then that I don't miss VJ that much. I still enjoy watching the side show but I'm just not that interested in joining in.

Hey BJ, sorry if I offended you. I'm talking about the people that make everything about race or politics. Every comment is the looney left or undocumented democrat, or something offensive to that matter. I didn't even consider you in that light, since you ask questions and are pretty even tempered.

I don't consider you a racist. The reason Postmaster stuck out in my mind; before I got to know him, we used to bump heads on Obama a lot. But after talking to him, I realized he wasn't. And I miss him now that's he's gone.

In the produce department I manager, we have snipers 24/7 just in case someone makes a go for the eggplants and try to get away with it. You can never have too many guns, especially when grocery shopping!

Let's be clear here - you think it is perfectly reasonable to react to a single news story about an assault outside a supermarket to justify people carrying guns in supermarkets.

No need. They are black and will be prosecuted until no end. They will be under the jail cell. The investigation will be done swiftly and investigated properly. No excuses will be made for their behavior.
