---- And in my world, I have an appointment to (finally) get the results of my titre tests (for some reason the MMR vaccination was not on my vaccination record) and my official medical is next Monday! Then the week after that, it's out to Montreal for the interview!

Oh, and to Austin in particular - we actually found a new apartment (in North Van) in only 2.5 hours! I'm pretty proud of us!

Good luck with the medical exam next Monday (and your interview in Montreal)! :star:

It must be a moving season. We've moved to downtown Vancouver (Yaletown) several days ago! Since you're now in North Van, we're not too far away!

We'll definitely need to get together once you're back from Montreal! I'd love to hear about your medical and interview experiences.

DS-261 approved! Apparently it was approved on Sept 2 (but they didn't tell me that yesterday when I called). But I still don't have the invoice...

But whatever! I'm just excited for this step!!! Woohoo!

Congratulations on the progress

Every progress, step and stage counts :star:

While our IV fee hasn't been officially invoiced yet, I called the NVC on Wednesday night (9/3) after being on hold for an hour and they said that my DS-261 had been approved earlier that day. She said we should expect to see the invoice on the CEAC portal within 5 business days (so 9/10 at the latest I guess)...

Will be sending off the IV packet ASAP once that happens.

We submitted our DS-261 on July 31. - so these invoicing timeframes for the IV fee seem to be all over the map.

I submitted mine the same day. I wonder if I should call and ask? If i do I might just get frustrated and bitter though, heh.

Hey Nanana!! So glad to finally see u finally got NOA2!!! Hope its better at NVC and u can get a quick CC. I really encourage u to read and re-read Saylin's wiki and hope u already have all docs (especially the Police Certificates) as some may take months to obtain ?. I havent called NVC but just keep trying until u get thru.

aww Thank you! I've talked to nvc today and they had received our case at 3rd of Sept., so now officially I am on nvc boat :D more waiting "yay"

sad thing is that there is still few Dec filers still waiting for noa2.

I'm glad! We hit 2 months from POE this week, there's still a lot of adjustment going on but life together is incredible. All the ups and downs of the visa process are just a fading memory now, and that is definitely something for everyone here to look forward to :)

I am looking veeery forward to it!

happy adjusting :D

Ughhhhhh got a CHECKLIST last scan AOS July 14. For part 6 item 13a for sponsor and for me places adjusted gross and not total income. Also for beneficiary birth certificate on civil docs I sent that and they say they dont have it. Last an employment letter updated.

Question for all Canadian VJ members. I am USC living with my hubby in Canada. I work online from a US company but I also for the past 4 months work for a Canadian company in Canada. Which letter of employment do i need to send both or just American job????

Please if someone can help I would greatly appreciate.

Also after sending this will I have to wait another 60 days??

Thanks to all.

It looks like they're still a week away from 7/22 scan dates. I'm at 32 business days and counting. I might call once I see a 7/18 case complete (you know who you are!)

NVC has progressed only 3 BUSINESS DAYS (July 11, 14 and 15) for the last 2 WEEKS. :wow:

I'm at 29th BUSINESS DAYS and counting. :bonk: They probably hire and retain the laziest people on the planet.

Sorry to hear that you got a checklist. That's strange since they only checked your AOS package, but they're saying you'll need to send the beneficiary's birth certificate? :huh2: However, you probably don't need to worry about it if you have sent the beneficiary's birth certificate as part of your IV package. :star:

I'd send your employment letters of your US and Canadian jobs (both) if I were you.

Another 60 calender days for a checklist document? Most likely "Yes". :dead: But... We've seen people with checklist documents getting approved in 1-4 weeks so you never know. Fingers crossed! -_-

Saylin, do you think we should add this "waiting for another 60 calender days for a checklist document" answer on your Wiki? :huh2: This is one of the most often asked questions on here.

Am so sorry for your checklist. I pray someone come around soon to answer your question. But yes the 60days wait starts again from the date your checklist is scanned in. But people have been getting approved in less than 60days. Edited by EOC4ever

Thanks AustinCanada for your help, apparently the rep said they reviewed the AOS and IV package together because they were both in the system waiting. I will resend both work letters and changes to AOS. Hopefully it wont be 60 days I thought I was hoping for December Interview but I guess not anymore after this.

I noticed you live in Vancouver sorry to ask thru here but in your opinion to live with kids is it better White Rock or Langley?

Thanks again.

Am so sorry for your checklist. I pray someone come around soon to answer your question. But yes the 60days wait starts again from the date your checklist is scanned in.

Thanks EOC4EVER fir answering me so quickly. I already got some help from another VJ member. I too hope and pray it wont be 60 days.

Absolutely! We're just a few blocks from the Sea Bus so it'll be easy to get together!

You'll definitely want the employment letter from the US job... But if you're going to continue working for the Canadian company after you move (online or whatever) get that one too!

On another note, about Vaccinations for your medical... I just got my titre test results back and it turns out that my immunization against measles didn't show up! I know I was immunized, but the doctor says that happens sometimes. I got a booster for free, which is great for the medical, but in this day and age where a lot of parents are no longer immunizing their kids, I think more of us should get retested!

(Especially for us Canadians, who can get the testing and shots for free before we move!)

Is your timeline updated?
