Who is this person and why should I care about what he says?

He is a professor and a famous atheist in the UK with a penchant for attracting controversy. You really shouldn't care what he says, most of it just seems aimed at getting him attention.

And most people feel this way. I've read statistics that say 90% of parents who are aware of a down diagnosis terminate the pregnancy.

You have to admire Dawkins in that he has the balls at least to say what he believes in. How many of those parents do think would admit publicly that they aborted because of a down syndrome diagnosis?
